1 1 49ers Aaron Rodgers, QB, California *If they can't get a trade down, this is likely the pick. Even though they like Rattay, it might be a situation where they are pressured into this pick.
1 2 Dolphins Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn *The Dolphins need a RB first and foremost and Brown showed at the combine that he is worthy of a top 5 selection.
1 3 Browns Derrick Johnson, OLB, Texas *Johnson is an elite defender and talks of him sliding out of the top 10 are ludicrous. He's as close to a sure thing as there is in this draft.
1 4 Bears Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan *Yeah, they signed Muhsin Muhammed, but he's an older receiver and youngsters Justin Gage and Bobby Wade have yet to show that they are capable starters.
1 5 Buccaneers Mike Williams, WR, Southern Cal *The Bucs don't have another starter opposite Michael Clayton. Williams is a Tampa product and would give the Bucs another great young wideout.
1 6 Titans Antrel Rolle, CB, Miami *The Titans cut their best cover corner in Samari Rolle, so they bring in another Rolle in Antrel, who has been one of the country's most consistent players.
1 7 Vikings Shawne Merriman, DE, Maryland *Merriman's stock is soaring. The Vikings could use him as an edge rusher opposite Kenechi Udeze and give themselves two great bookends.
1 8 Cardinals Cedric Benson, RB, Texas *It comes down to Benson or Cadillac Williams here. The Cards already have a guy in Marcel Shipp who can catch the ball out of the backfield, so they get a pounder in Benson here.
1 9 Commanders Carlos Rogers, CB, Auburn *The Skins lost Fred Smoot in free agency and Rogers' stock is soaring after he ran a blazing 4.31 at the combine.
1 10 Packers Alex Smith, QB, Utah *PROJECTED TRADE: GB sends picks 24 and 134 to the Lions for 10. Here the Pack get their QB of the future which is vital. They need a legitimate prospect to take over for Brett Favre. The Lions can move down and pick up an extra pick.

1 11 Cowboys Marcus Spears, DE, LSU *Spears has shown that even though he is over 300 lbs, he can rush the passer with the best of them. Dallas needs just that.

1 12 Chargers Troy Williamson, WR, South Carolina *Williamson has proven that he has the physical tools to warrant this selection. The Chargers would like to add more size to their receiving corps.
1 13 Texans Thomas Davis, SS, Georgia *Davis is the best safety on the board and that is one of the weaker parts of the Texan defense right now.
1 14 Panthers Heath Miller, TE, Virginia *The Panthers did a great job of filling holes through free agency with Mike Wahle and Ken Lucas. Thus they can afford to take a player like Miller here who would give Jake Delhomme a reliable target underneath.
1 15 Chiefs Pacman Jones, CB, West Virginia *Jones' stock has been soaring. He's not the top 7 or 8 player many are projecting him to be, but he does have skills and Kansas City is in need of help on defense.
1 16 Saints Alex Barron, OT, Florida State *The Saints could take Justin Miller here, but they end Barron's slide instead and wait for the 2nd Round for a corner since this OT class isn't as deep. The Saints have two aging tackles in Victor Riley and Wayne Gandy, so a talent like Barron's is a welcomed addition.
1 17 Bengals Shaun Cody, DT, USC *The Bengals are a strong interior away from having a good defense. They'll take the best defensive tackle on the board here in Cody.
1 18 Vikings Travis Johnson, DT, Florida State *The Vikings sure up their defensive line some more after getting Merriman at 7. Johnson would give them a rotational body at tackle to go with the newly signed Pat Williams and Kevin Williams.
1 19 Rams Khalif Barnes, OT, Washington *Yeah, they pass on Jammal Brown. But Mike Martz tends to draft unconventionally and he will occasionally fall in love with workout warriors and Barnes certainly fits that profile.

1 20 Cowboys Mark Clayton, WR, Oklahoma *Clayton is underrated. Even though many project him as a 1st Rounder, he doesn't get as much attention as some of the other receivers in this draft even though he is every bit as talented.

1 21 Jaguars Justin Miller, CB, Clemson *A tough decision here as David Pollack is still on the board, but the Jags need another corner opposite Rashean Mathis and Miller is probably too good to pass up here.
1 22 Ravens Jamaal Brown, OT, Oklahoma *After getting Derrick Mason and Samari Rolle, right tackle is probably Baltimore's biggest need now, so they jump on Brown who slides down just a bit to them.
1 23 Seahawks David Pollack, DE, Georgia *The Seahawks rejoice as Pollack slides due to team needs and falls into their lap. Pollack is the tough, high motor player they need to compliment Grant Wistrom.
1 24 Lions David Baas, G/C, Michigan *PROJECTED TRADE: GB sends picks 24 and 134 to the Lions for 10. The Lions trade down and snag their man. Baas has been moving up after working out well at the combine, so they take him here and wait until their 2nd Round pick to get their DE.
1 25 Broncos Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin *The Broncos are in need of a big time pass rusher and that's what James was this past season. He would be an instant starter for this defense.
1 26 Jets Carnell Williams, RB, Auburn *Don't be surprised if this happens. The Jets lost Lamont Jordan who they were planning on being their back of the future. Williams is a steal here and gives them a young Curtis Martin.
1 27 Falcons Adam Terry, OT, Syracuse *Protecting Michael Vick should be Atlanta's #1 priority. This may be a tad high for Terry, but he has the tools to develop into a good one with proper coaching.
1 28 Chargers Josh Bullocks, FS, Nebraska *A little high for Bullocks? Yes, but with all the OTs off the board, San Diego fills their other big need by bringing in a cover man at free safety.
1 29 Colts Fabian Washington, CB, Nebraska *The second Cornhusker DB gets taken as Washington's speed and aggressive style make him a great fit in Tony Dungy's defense.
1 30 Steelers Mike Patterson, DT, USC *Kimo Von Oelhoffen may be in his last year with the team, so the Steelers pick up Patterson to play in their 3-4. If it weren't for his height, he would be a top 15 player in this draft, so he's a good pickup here.
1 31 Eagles Kevin Burnett, OLB, Tennessee *The Eagles need an outside backer. Burnett had an excellent senior season and has a fast, aggressive style that makes him a great fit in Philly.
1 32 Patriots Channing Crowder, ILB, Florida *With the unfortunate events surrounding Tedy Bruschi, LB becomes even more of a need for the Patriots. Crowder is very talented and if any team is going to straighten him out, it's the Pats.

2 33 49ers Elton Brown, G, Virginia Guard (and the offensive line in general) is a key spot where improvement will need to start for Niners to get better.
2 34 Browns Charlie Frye, QB, Akron Frye has had an excellent off-season and word on the street is that the Browns aren't too satisfied with having just Luke McCown and Trent Dilfer at QB.
2 35 Eagles Eric Shelton, RB, Louisville If the Eagles can't land a RB via free agency, the bruising Shelton is exactly what they need to compliment Brian Westbrook.
2 36 Buccaneers Anttaj Hawthorne, DT, Wisconsin Hawthorne just fits the mold of a Tampa d-tackle. He's a quick penetrator and would be a nice compliment to Booger McFarland.
2 37 Titans Roddy White, WR, UAB White could slide a bit since he hasn't gotten to work out after pulling his hammy, but he's still a physical speciman and wideout is an area of need for Tennessee after losing Derrick Mason.
2 38 Raiders Daryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia Blackstock is a great fit for the Raider defense because he can play the run and also rush the passer. He also brings some Raider mentality to the table.
2 39 Bears Wesley Britt, OT, Alabama Britt's stock was soaring before he was injured at the Senior Bowl. Since the injury was unrelated to his prior one, it may not scare teams off as much as some think. The Bears are desperate for O-Line help, so they take a chance here.
2 40 Saints Marlin Jackson, CB, Michigan The Saints need another corner on the other side of Mike McKenzie, Jackson slides a little bit, but the Saints are happy to have him.
2 41 Lions Dan Cody, DE, Oklahoma The defensive ends slide a little, and the Lions take full advantage as Cody at this point in the draft is a bargain.

2 42 Cowboys Brandon Browner, CB/S, Oregon State Browner's 40 time shouldn't drop him too much. The Boys need bodies at both corner and safety, so a player like Browner gives them a few options.

2 43 Giants Robert McCune, ILB, Louisville McCune's stock is high right now after a good combine showing. Don't buy into the fact that he's older than the other prospects, because NFL teams won't. McCune is a great prospect and fills a need here.
2 44 Cardinals Matt Roth, DE, Iowa The Cardinals keep trying, but it seems like they just can't put together a stable D-Line. Roth is a bigger end and that's just what they need on the other side from Bertrand Berry.
2 45 Panthers Rian Wallace, OLB, Temple The Panthers need a strongside linebacker and Wallace fits that mold perfectly, he's a strong and mean player who fits John Fox's scheme.
2 46 Chiefs Reggie Brown, WR, Georgia Brown is a polished, strong receiver who could come right in and start for the Chiefs, who desperately need a go-to WR.
2 47 Texans CJ Mosley, DT, Missouri Mosley isn't a household name, but he is a guy you will hear called on day one. The Texans need a guy who can play the end spot in the 3-4 and Mosely has the athleticism to do that.
2 48 Bengals Ernest Shazor, SS, Michigan Shazor is just the kind of player that Marvin Lewis loves. A blue collar player and an intimidating hitter.
2 49 Vikings Fred Gibson, WR, Georgia Gibson has the size and athleticism to help ease the loss of Randy Moss.
2 50 Rams Chris Spencer, C, Mississippi The Rams are aging on the offensive line, so they take their second youngster on the O-Line here in Spencer.
2 51 Packers Eric Green, CB, Virginia Tech After losing Mike McKenzie, the Packers gave up some big plays through the air. Green's speed, aggressiveness and maybe his braids will remind some of McKenzie.
2 52 Jaguars Justin Tuck, DE, Notre Dame The Jags need another defensive end. Tuck is a great pass rusher off the edge and would give the Jags even more young talent on the D-Line.
2 53 Ravens Bryant McFadden, CB, Florida State They did sign Samari Rolle, but this is a team that still needs some youth at the corner spot. McFadden could develop into a starter for them in a few years.
2 54 Seahawks Odell Thurman, ILB, Georgia Thurman would be a big pick for Seattle. They need an ILB and Thurman is a great value here.
2 55 Bills Alex Smith, TE, Stanford Getting JP Losman comfortable should be one of Buffalo's priorities. Mike Mularkey, a former
2 56 Broncos Jason Campbell, QB, Auburn The Broncos need a QB of the future and Campbell has all the tools you could want in a quarterback.
2 57 Jets Corey Webster, CB, LSU Webster had a bit of a tough year, but he still has a lot of talent. If the Jets can't corral Fred Smooth, they'll be looking CB here.
2 58 Packers DeMarcus Ware, DE, Troy The Pack get their edge rusher here with Ware. Ware may be moving towards the late 1st Round area, but the depth at DE in this draft will likely keep him in the mid-late 2nd.
2 59 Falcons Brodney Pool, FS, Oklahoma The Falcons defense exceeded expectations last year, but they still have some issues at safety. Pool is a big, athletic playmaker who could step in in a year or two for this team.
2 60 Colts Atiyyah Ellison, DT, Missouri The second Missouri defensive lineman goes as Tony Dungy gets another athletic interior lineman to fit his scheme.
2 61 Chargers Michael Munoz, OT, Tennessee Munoz, when healthy, is one of the best tackles in this class. To be able to get him in the late 2nd is a potential steal for San Diego.
2 62 Steelers JR Russell, WR, Louisville The Steelers need a bigger receiver to help ease the loss of Plaxico Burress. Russell is one of the more underrated players in the draft and a potential steal here.
2 63 Eagles Jerome Mathis, WR, Hampton This blazing speedster from Hampton could bring another spark to the Eagles offense. With so many picks, the Eagles can afford to take a chance like this here.
2 64 Patriots Courtney Roby, WR, Indiana NE gets another speedy slot guy to ease the losses of Troy Brown and David Patten and give them another option as a return man.

3 65 49ers Antonio Perkins, CB, Oklahoma *The Niners need a corner and Perkins' return ability will also make up for the loss of Cedrick Wilson.
3 66 Rams Ronald Bartell, CB, Howard *Bartell had a great combine performance and the Rams need some help at corner.
3 67 Browns Marcus Johnson, G/T, Mississippi *The Browns are in need of some offensive line help and if they want to jump start their running game, they'll take a big mauler like Johnson.
3 68 Titans Logan Mankins, G/T, Fresno State *Offensive tackle is one of Tennessee's top needs. Mankins has been tried at Guard in the offseason, but tackle is his natural position.
3 69 Raiders JJ Arrington, RB, California *Tyrone Wheatley was released and Justin Fargas may not be able to carry the full load. Arrington is a local guy who could team with Fargas to make a nice 1-2 punch.
3 70 Dolphins Andrew Walter, QB, Arizona State The Dolphins sured up their defensive line in the offseason, so here they take a possible QB for the future in Walter, who could have been a late 1st Rounder had it not been for an injury.
3 71 Buccaneers Ciatrick Fason, RB, Florida Fason is a versatile back who can also catch the ball which is important when you play in a Jon Gruden led offense.
3 72 Lions James Butler, FS, Georgia Tech The Lions signed Kenoy Kennedy to fill one safety spot, but they still need another young safety to push Terrence Holt. Butler is a rangy athlete who can come in and provide some depth.
3 73 Texans Vernand Morency, RB, Oklahoma State Morency could be a steal here. He is a great natural runner and could take a lot of the pressure off of Dommanick Davis.
3 74 Giants Terrence Murphy, WR, Texas A&M The Giants need a WR, so if they lose out on the Plaxico Burress sweepstakes, their next best option is to take a WR like Murphy in the draft.
3 75 Cardinals Alphonso Hodge, CB, Miami-Ohio The Cards need a cover man after losing Duane Starks, they get a speedy guy with a lot of upside in Hodge here.
3 76 Commanders Jovan Haye, DE, Vanderbilt Haye worked out well at the combine and he is a good overall athlete. The Skins need a DE, but will likely wait until this pick to get one.
3 77 Eagles Jonathan Babineaux, DT, Iowa Babineaux is undersized, but he's a great athlete. The Eagles are looking for depth inside.
3 78 Texans Ben Wilkerson, C, LSU Injury issues and needs cause Wilkerson to slide a litte bit, but Houston is happy to ad him to the mix here.
3 79 Panthers Roscoe Parrish, WR, Miami Parrish gives the Panthers another option out of the slot and can help them in the return game as well.
3 80 Vikings Mike Nugent, K, Ohio State Kicker is obviously an issue for the Vikings, so they solve that right here with the selection of Nugent.
3 81 Rams Travis Daniels, CB, LSU The Rams need some depth at corner, and Daniels is a guy who could even push for a starting spot in time.
3 82 Saints Barrett Ruud, ILB, Nebraska Linebacker is one of the Saints biggest needs. Ruud would be a great pick if he lasted to this pick.
3 83 Bengals Jason Brown, C, North Carolina The Bengals need to upgrade the interior of their line, Brown can play both guard and center.
3 84 Ravens Ronald Fields, DT, Mississippi State With the Ravens switching to a 4-3, they need true space eaters at those tackle spots. Fields is a mauler who could fit that role for them.
3 85 Seahawks Mark Bradley, WR, Oklahoma The Seahawks would like to get more reliable receivers. Bradley has the skills to play in the slot initially and has starting potential down the line.
3 86 Bills Luis Castillo, DT, Northwestern The Bills need to replace Pat Williams, so they take Castillo, a smart, heady player who could play right away for them.
3 87 Jaguars Anthony Alabi, OT, Texas Christian The Jaguars need an offensive tackle, they'd particularly like one that can play the left side. Alabi has the athleticism to possibly make that switch and at the very least, provide depth on the right side.
3 88 Jets Kevin Everett, TE, Miami The Jets might lose Anthony Becht to free agency, so they take a tight end here.
3 89 Packers Lance Mitchell, ILB, Oklahoma The Packers might move Nick Barnett to the outside if they can get a good inside guy in the draft. Mitchell just might be that guy.
3 90 Falcons Chris Henry, WR, West Virginia The Falcons take a big time chance here, but Henry could add even more speed to one of the league's fastest teams.
3 91 Buccaneers Kirk Morrison, ILB, San Diego State Shelton Quarles is getting older, so the Bucs nab Morrison to be their future man in the middle.
3 92 Colts Justin Geisinger, OT, Vanderbilt The Colts need a prospect at tackle to eventually replace Tarik Glenn. Geisinger is a strong player who can be that guy.
3 93 Steelers Marcus Lawrence, ILB, South Carolina The Steelers need an inside linebacker to provide depth now that Kendrell Bell has left. Lawrence is a big, powerful guy who could fit very well in the 3-4.
3 94 Eagles Kyle Orton, QB, Purdue The Eagles might be looking for a young QB to bring in as a third guy and eventually the backup to Donovan McNabb. Orton has slid during the offseason, but he could be a solid QB in time.
3 95 Cardinals Michael Roos, OT, Eastern Washington The Cards will likely lose LJ Shelton, so they get Roos, who is athletic enough to project to the left side in the pros.

It would be wrong to call that draft dissapointing its just that it would be that a lot of things that we speculate the Cowboys are planning to do in the draft at this time are taken away before we have the chance to even think about it. Namely, the Vikes taking Merriman before us, then the Lions trade with a desperate Green Bay who want to trade up for a QB and then Troy Williamson goes of the board so no crack at him at #20. That makes for a tough spot for Dallas as far as excercising some options.
Assuming the draft falls they way they say then I can't argue with the Spears pick. I'd rather trade down then take Clayton at #20. If we did stay there I'd take Carnell Williams before Clayton, too good a value to pass up. For needs at #20 I'd take Jamall Brown, Kevin Burnett or Channing Crowder all before Clayton.
In the 2nd I think we have enough you DBs to take Browner and would rather see Reggie Brown to fill our WR need or Demarcus Ware to hedge our bets with Spears and try to find someone who can rush the passer which is our biggest team need by far.
All in all, a fair draft but not one I would be going crazy about at home.

What sort of post-lobotomy imbecile comes up with a scenario where the Packers trade a 5th round pick (#134) to move up 14 spots in the first round from #24 all the way to #10?

Using the "Value Chart" that is:

1300 points (pick #10)
vs.
740 points (pick #24) + 39 points (pick #134)

Unless I'm missing something here, either a 4th grade Packers fan came up with this mock or else the brain surgery ward is missing that lobotomy patient.
