Released yesterday. Good watch to get ready for the new season. Super Bowl or Bust baby! (Or at least a Conference Championship game!...)

Some thoughts while watching the video:
  • We had some momentum at the beginning of the season we never got back. Forgot how Cooper Rush and Noah Brown had some great plays together those first few games. And that defense was unstoppable at first until teams decided to test our run defense. A tale of two seasons. Defensive dominance first half, offensive dominance second half.
  • Team MVP besides the defense? Tony Pollard. Seems like Pollard had a great game in every high scoring contest. Throwing picks in the Niners game didn't help, but what truly took us out? Pollard getting injured. I would like to know if it was McCarthy or Kellen Moore who took so long to put him out there so much? If he can stay healthy, if Deuce can produce those same highlight reels against starters, if Luepke can replace Zeke's role.. and oh yeah, Rico is there too... then the Running Game has potential to be great this year.
  • Stats I didn't realize: CeeDee Lamb youngest WR in Cowboys history to produce that type of season - 100 catches, 1,000 yards. Feels like #88 has been playing forever already. We are blessed to have this young man on our roster. Not a showboat WR in the mold of Dez, Irvin, TO... but a quiet confidence. Just a cool customer.
  • Stats I didn't realize: Top red zone efficiency to finish the year for offense. Again, without Pollard we are a different offense.
  • Maybe just me, but I seem to recall that Lions game as a much tougher competition than the score reflects?
  • We root against players because we don't like them, but we don't give these guys enough credit who do the right things. Those were some happy fans with their #4 jersey on the sideline and getting a picture with Dak. I am really rooting for Dak to have a breakthrough season and finally prove he belongs in the QB Pantheon.
  • What a wasted opportunity if we can't go further than the Division Round with a defense that leads League two seasons a row in forced turnovers.

One more thing, dumbest comment by a game broadcaster: Babe Laufenberg

"I don't think Micah Parsons cares that it's Tom Brady he is sacking!" Huh? Some unofficial rule that our defense is supposed to hold back on HOFers?

The last two seasons were really good. The team is putting things together. I believe last year hardened our most important players. They know what a big game is AND what it takes to win them. If we’re healthy at season’s end, God willing, our team leaders will step up and make this a special year.

This is not the usual overrated hype. You're right. Just a great team. And will be that same empty feeling I had when the Team couldn't get further at end of Parcells, beginning of Wade's season, with that newly built team. Or the Garrett years when we had the best offensive line and running game in the NFL, but couldn't take it any further. I hope this is the year. Don't waste all this talent.

Hard to believe the Cowboys are coming off their best two consecutive regular seasons in terms of wins since 1994-95.

They have the best defense they've had since the dynasty days so I agree, this isn't the usual hollow hype.

NFLN actually had this on a couple of weeks back. I recorded it. Good stuff. Nice to see the "highlights" of last season!!

Edit: this video is only 22 minutes; this might be different than the one on NFLN as it was an hour special.

8 starters returning on offense.

Zeke replaced by Vaughn or the elevation of Pollard
Schultz replaced by Schoonmaker or the elevation of Ferguson
Brown replaced by Cooks

10 starters returning on defense.

Brown replaced by Gilmore

Throw in Mazi and the healing/development in the WR corps we have a great shot of not only matching last years production but exceeding it. If Dak can return to form in terms of interceptions we have a great chance to improve significantly.

Yeah, probably different. These all have recent dates on the upload and are from NFL or Official Cowboys. Unless they made it NFL Network exclusive before they released them. Probably a quick summary of the hour version.

I really believe the interceptions were caused by the lack of talent at receiver. We had a true #1 but I think everyone can admit Gallup was not himself and was not a true #2. We had Noah Brown playing a major role and this dude is a legit #4 option. Shoot, even taking it back to 2021, we had Cedric Wilson playing a big role and he would struggle to make this team.

The receiver corps overachieved. A lot was on Dak and he did what he could. Then Pollard got hurt against San Fran. When that happened, he was understandably shaken. We could not make enough plays to score enough. EVEN STILL, if Turpin makes a right turn on his kick return it could have been a different game.

This team was close. Hopefully, they can take it to the next level this year when the lights shine the brightest.

In part certainly but he started forcing throws downfield into coverage: brackets, doubles and sometimes both.

I definitely think that the numbers were inflated by drops and borked routes to a high degree but that was not all. Fortunately, MM has taken steps, a much higher attention to detail for the WR and Dak being told to not chase downfield throws, to fix both issues.
