NFL Logic is weird lol. So, we lost to the Cardinals who lost to the Rams who got torched by us. Just goes to show that it's a week to week league. I couldn't help but notice this weird bit of NFL Logic. And hey, we are 5-2. This has been a great day. Go Cowboys!!
That Cardinals was bad. We got dominated and aside from the injury to the line and maybe the shock of Diggs being hurt I really don’t know why.

It’s been a very weird season. We’ve destroyed everyone in our wins except Chargers and we’ve been dominated in our losses.

Again, further proof that NFL Logic is weird lol. Either way, I think it's just interesting to notice how strange the NFL is ATM. I mean, if the Chiefs beat Miami, then it would be strange too because of the circle that would happen there too.

We were decimated by injuries when we played the Cardinals. I think Tyler Smith was the only starter on the line playing. That affects continuity. The Cardinals also aren't a bad team.

You can thank the Panthers, Jaguars, Texans, and Browns. There is alot of upside too it though. Before expansion+free agency, there was little movement at the top and bottom of the league from year to year. It was a slow climb up.

As fans now, you go into every year with the possibility your team may make it to the playoffs. You get alot more head scratching outcomes, and the game probably isnt as tactical as it was 25 years ago. However, its probably alot more fan friendly

Sure, that's definitely part of it. And there's also parity. Hence any given Sunday

Some of us already understand this from before the season starts until the end.

Each game is different, and none set in stone.

Think about it. Only one team has ever gone undefeated. And they didn't even win. That's the nature of this league. If you want to win. you need to get in the playoffs every year. You have to get in, and then anything can happen. For any team. Some of our fans don't realize how silly their week to week perspectives are.. but that doesn't change that on Any Given Sunday, it's any team.

Those who have seen this team win are more relaxed and realistic. It'll come. Eventually. That's what being a fan is all about.

Thats where parity comes from. 220 or so rosters spots that weren't there in 1995. 88 starter spots that werent there in 1995. And the ability for players to move from team to team. That 10 gap was a perfect storm of parity. I dont think its bad either. I don't think they got to the point where it was "watered down"

The amazing part is this fanbase doesn't understand that it's a week to week league.

That's why threads that Dallas is the best team in the league one week and the worst franchise in the NFL the next is laughable.

Enjoy the ups and even the downs of the regular season. Because the only games that Dallas will be judged on will be in January.

Gotta say, there’s a bit of an asterisk on that.

Even when they did it, it didn’t feel dynastic.

Patriots, before the Giants derailed them, were better.

Still, whether the season is 8 games or 12, or 14, or 17, not taking an L is to be respected.

I mean, I get that it's a week to week league. But it is still hilarious to notice.

You want to know the truth?

If you look at Jimmy Johnson's approach. He played mind games with teams. He made them mad, by putting them in situations that they lost. And the team came back and won the Super Bowl later that season.

If you know football, you know that can happen. Someone is going to go into the media and make money by being serious, and honest about their criticism, like Parsons was in his podcast, which is what made is so good. Because the click bait topics sell. Truth is, many don't convert all that well, although some do. But media companies are usually focused on that metric. And then it's a gamble for the advertiser.

A guy like Parsons changes that dynamic. I see that because I''ve done similar work, different topic. But he has the personality you need to convert on your advertising, which is what makes Parsons so great, if he chooses to go into media later on. He's good at it.

Anyway, I think that also motivated the team. And that's what the team needed.

Dallas is getting its swagger back after their bye.

Don't let anyone tell you this team isn't good enough to win it. A few teams are. But they are one of them.

Mike may have taken the Jimmy approach and knew he had to in order to get them to win down the stretch. Many think about right now. When other teams are thinking three months ahead. Those teams usually have better odds to win if things go right. Or the team who can look ahead and stay on top of the goal week to week.
