NFL Network Alert; Friday 7 pm, Atlanta at cowboys Dec 22, 1991

wanted to give everyone a heads up alert, 7 pm friday night will be atlanta falcons at dallas cowboys dec 22, 1991, (it has to do something with emmitt smith too)

In 1990 the falcons beat us 26-7 in atlanta to essentially knock us out of the playoffs. Glanville and the falcons had a good time with it and ran their mouths. If we had won, we would have been the final wild card team at 8-8. Moron Jerry Glanville went to the media with a fake story about Dallas stashing five cases of champagne in the fulton county stadium locker room for the victory party. Glanville was making it up to make jimmy and the cowboys look bad. He was completely lying but put it out there.....sound familiar...like tom coughlin in 07.

the morning of this game, word got back to jimmy From CBS's Leslie visser that glanville and his staff and alot of the players were partying and having a good time. They had a special private concert at the team hotel by jerry jeff walker......This pissed off jimmy and he said everyone does things different ways, we were studying and preparing and they were partying.....

so if you watch this game tomorrow night, listen to dick stocktons comments on the broadcast towards the end of the game....he says something to the effect of the falcons being shocked that the cowboys are playing so hard and trying to win.......The falcons needed to win to win the nfc west and dallas had already clinched a playoff berth and the game was meanningless. The falcons assumed we would roll over and not play hard. And also tony casillas didnt play much this game because if he had played in 75% of the snaps we would have had to send a 6th round pick to the falcons for the 92 draft!!!

anyway, there is a little side story on that.

Great game. Beuerlein was subbing for Aikman. Atlanta was trying to get a first round bye and Dallas was trying to keep momentum going into the playoffs.

yep, buerlein is playing qb, merlin olsen is announcing, while michael irvin just caught a 58 yard td pass beating mckier and scott case,(deion sanders is in the game too) they just talked about falcons ending our playoff hopes last year in 90 with us wanting revenge, while scott case and deion sanders atlanta falcon players both whom played for the cowboys in 95
