I wasn't in here on gameday, so sorry if this is a repost. But, is it just me or is the NFL Network booth crew the worst in NFL history? I would rather listen to Dennis Miller and Tony Kornheiser call a seventh grade C team football game with Erick Dickerson doing sideline reporting than ever listen to Gumbel,Vermeil, Deion, and Faulk ever ever ever ever call another game. That was simply terrible.

Disasterous, they would be better suited having Sam the Eagle do play by play while Fozzie Bear did color commentary, wacka, wacka.

Yes and i would go as far as to say that i would rather hear Theismann rant about the deadskins than listen to Gumbel again. I gotta admit i thanked God for not having Collinscrap as a announcer on saturday. Theres no one in the media i hate more than him although hodge is getting close

Salisbury is pretty close to Hoge and Theisman on the annoying meter...does anyone else cringe everytime Salisbury says "Alls...." as is "Alls the Cowboys have to do to win is....." God, I hate it when that moron says that. Just listen next time that lifetime backup is on the air and wait for it. "Alls"-what the hell is that?:bang2:

Actually the more I think about it the Muppets would in fact make great sports casters. I should pitch this to the NFL.

Their booth crew is pretty crappy. I like their studio crew more than any other though. Rich Eisen, to me, is about the best in the business and Mariucci always has interesting insight.

You think so? Eisen is kinda' goofy sometimes and mariucci looks awkward and unsure about what he wants to say sometimes.

I thought Deion and Faulk did fine in the booth, better than the nasal brothers.

One of the best NFL game broadcasts I have seen when CBS broadcast a game in '81 or '82 with no announcers. Just the crowd noise and referees whistles. They just did to see what it would be like.
Watching the NFL network guys made me yearn for that kind of a broadcast.

That was pathetic, although Vermeil with a voice is an outstanding analyst. The only thing more annoying is ESPN's Monday night coverage where they birng in guests that interferes with the flow of the game telecast. I could care less if Jay Z or Sylvester Stallone never walked into the booth. Joe T and Kornholer are bad enough.

I wish the nflnetwork would use the guy that does nfl films to do the play by play(they even used his voice overs on some commercial ads) and Vermeil (with a voice)the commentary.
