Two words....... strange year
Who would have thought Geno ranking ahead of Rogers and Stafford? As someone started in another thread, a lot of so-called elite or top QBs are struggling this year, hard to explain. Just me, but said earlier I think perhaps defenses have finally caught up with all the rule changes favoring offenses.

Actually, no.

Most of the elite QBs are remaining elite. Mahomes. Allen. Jackson. Even the likes of Herbert, Burrow, Goff, Lawerence, Carr and Hurts are great. We’ve seen improvement in Daniel Jones’ game. Mariota has played well as of late, and as you mention, Geno Smith.

Rodgers and Brady are only slipping because Father Time is catching up with them. It has nothing to do with some conspiracy of good defenses and elite weapons many will try to come up with here. It’s a young man’s game now is all. We are entering a new era of greats. Brady and Rodger’s time is up is all. Unfortunately, our QB is not a part of that new age and/or era.

Understand but I didn't say they were no longer elite, just with the exception of Allen, they are all struggling a bit this year. Hell, it's not hard to see Mahomes miss Hill or Rogers miss Adams or Brady is distracted ( not all in ).

Tua, Geno, Hurts all have the same thing in common: suddenly their WR corps are substantially better than they’ve ever had previous. Conversely, Rodgers, Brady, and Mahomes have had worse.

Watch Kyler “fix” his inconsistencies once Hopkins comes back

So Offensive Line and talent at WR/TE positions actually matter to how the vast majority of QBs perform?
