Is it me or does it seem like we have become a target?
Just talking some trash here, but...

Emmitt helment rule.

Michael Irvin pushoff rule

Roy Williams Horse collar tackle rule

TO Celebration rule (now that he has become a Cowboy)

What is next?

By the way did anyone see the hockey player doing pushups celebration after scoring?
Somehow, it didn't receive any negative press.

We have always been a Target ...... Think it might have something to do with a Commander fan being the Commish ...... hope that changes soon.

Who cares though ...... we are still the greatest organization in the League.

You are forgetting the Mel Renfro Rule and the Deion Sanders Rule...

Don't forget the Deion signing bonus rule

Erik Williams Hands to the Face Rule

there has to be a Larry Allen Rule

there is - refs can no longer walk slowly to the point of the play, they must run like everyone else.

I posted these on another thread last night, suggesting the same thing.
Little Danny cried to his pal Tags becaue he didn't want TO spinning the ball on his Commander nose about 5 times a game.

NFL Execs
NFL Owners
HOF Voters

This rule change seems to be geared at Steve Smith and Chad Johnson for the most part. Everytime they explain the new rule on ESPN they show clips of those two.

Yep, it's all about the Cowboys. The NFL and media hate us, so they do what they can to put us down.

There's a conspiracy in the HOF balloting, as well as rampant anti-Cowboy bias in the world.

They're jealous of our rich history ... which includes 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons and 9 years without a playoff win.

Yep, it's all about the Cowboys. They hate us.

Not everything is geared towards hating the Cowboys. Perhaps, just perhaps, the Boys are just one of the teams that engage in it much like the other 31 teams do as well.

Emmitt helment rule.

I could agree with this being an "anti-Cowboys" rule. It's no worse than most celebrations that are done out there and you would think that the NFL would feel it's a good way to market their stars by putting a face with the name.

Michael Irvin pushoff rule

Offensive PI has been around way before then. For all of the talk of Irvin pushing off, defensive players used to mug WR's back then.

Roy Williams Horse collar tackle rule

I thought this was more of a "star player T.O. gets hurt and almost misses Super Bowl and the NFL freaks out" rule than the Roy Williams rule.

Hideous rule because for all of the claim of players getting injured, the worst injury I saw from the Horse Collar all year long was Clinton Portis hurting his shoulder as Roy drove him to the ground. This to me is an obvious rule against Roy because outside of Steve Smith getting injured on a horse collar in 2004, Roy is the only guy I've ever seen injure somebody with the horsecollar.

TO Celebration rule (now that he has become a Cowboy)

Keeping the celebrations in the end zone isn't too big of a deal as IIRC, most of T.O's celebrations are in the end zone. Not allowing to use the ball as a prop is silly. About every 5 years or so the NFL comes down on celebrations and they get labeled the "No Fun League." Hell, I remember this back when Mark Gastineau was doing his sack dance.

Rich.................

Careful.

We might turn into whining Commander fans if we don't check our conspiracy theories at the door.

I don't think this rule had anything to do with the Cowboys getting TO, Chad Johnson over the last couple of season has caught the attention of the NFL with several fines and his mocking the NFL because of the fine. NFL is going to enforce the rules by hitting teams with 15 yard because evidently hitting the pocket book will not do the trick but HC will come down quick on players who are costing them 15 yards on kickoffs.

it wasn't. despite several conspiracy theories abound, the NFL doesn't watch ONLY the cowboys to base the entire league rules off of.

Don't forget the Terrell Owens and Keyshawn Johnson rule-- teams can't effectively suspend players anymore. I still don't have a clue as to how the NFLPA could enforce this.

"Individual celebration was getting out of hand," said Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher, the head of the competition committee. "The players' association was unanimous in wanting to get this under control."
Really? There are certainly a few wide receivers who aren't down with the program. One of them is Johnson, who vows that any new restrictions won't significantly affect his routines. "Of course you cannot stop someone as creative as me," he said. "How can this bother someone as creative as me?"

Lastly no one is saying celebration in the endzone is being stopped they are trying to keep this undercontrol because some of these guys will continue to push the envelope with even wilder displays than what we see today if it is not dealt with.

True LOL....What I find it interesting that the "The players' association was unanimous in wanting to get this under control." If you don't place some limits guys will continue to push the envelope and the league is trying to prevent this from going over board.
