NFL Total Access talks 2008 Outlook - 5/21/08

Remain very concernd our WR situation. While Witten is a top TE, do agree that TO is really our only true game changer. His presence on the field enables our offense to operate at full throttle which Jason Garrett & Romo can take advantage of for the most part. However, I believe this season it might be more difficult as teams make an even greater effort to take TO out of the game & put pressure on our other WRs to get the job done. Unless Terry Glenn returns to his old form, we add a legit vet WR, or one of our younger WRs (Stanback, Austin, Jefferson, etc., can really step it up, we will be held hostage by a really top defensive team with SB aspirations.

Dukes doesn't seem to like Romo for whatever reason.

Eisen, the man just loves talking about Ocho Cinco!

I think Woodson is one of the biggest anti-Dallas guys in the business. It pains him to have to say anything good about them.

I can see Dukes' point. Romo needs to finish the season like he starts for this team to achieve its' goal of a championship.

And they're right about the receivers. Without TO, this group is average at best.

And I don't want to count on Terry Glenn for anything.

I would say that mischaracterizes what Dukes said. He stated something we all should be thinking.

Tony, you have your money and celebrity. You can post a great regular season.

Now show me play-offs.

All the regular season wins aren't worth a thing if you cannot win it in the post season.

Dukes stated "put up or shut up." I hardly think that qualifies for hating on Romo.

I've heard Woodson continuously knock on bigD as well.

I havent watched this yet but I bet there is a producer in his ear somewhere telling him to point out some negatives.

In 2005 Woodson was one of our biggest supporters. He may just not like owens, which is understandable. Most retired players probably cant stand owens.

Dukes loves the Cowboys. I do not think he said anything negative about Romo.

Woodson on the otherhand does not like Cowboys!

It's official, Ocho Cinco, Jason "Dancing with the Stars" Taylor, Roy "I'm hurt, not a crapp safety" Williams will all be Dallas Cowboys because it's inevitable! :wink2:

I watched it and did not hear Woodson say anything that would make me think he is anti-cowboy. When asked who was the best team in the NFC without hesitation he said Cowboys this despite the fact the Giants are the current SB champs. Woodson has no loyalty to the Cowboys but why should he, he gives his opinion not a Cowboys company line and I don't see how he can be faulted for that.

I don't think I was saying he 'hates' Romo, but I don't think Dukes sees him as an upper echelon QB just yet. I certainly think he's in the category right under Peyton and Brady. I don't see Dukes rating him that high just yet.

Of course Woodson hates Dallas, that was part of his job description as a Steeler.

Rich Eisen is smarter than Dukes and Woodson squared.

Take out every teams #1 receiver and they are average at best! Randy Moss? Welker and who? Steve Smith? who?? The only teams that are fairly loaded are Arizona and Cincy...if one gets taken out the other guy can pick up the slack. Luckily we have a top 3 TE!

Granted, some teams would be worse off than the Cowboys would be. Some - like Philadelphia - are worse off with their full compliment of receivers.

But my thinking is that losing Owens would derail any Super Bowl hopes this team currently has.
