The Buffalo Bills have traded former Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2011 fourth-round draft pick and a 2012 conditional pick, according to FOX Sports.
A league source has confirmed the trade and told National Football Post that the Seahawks have cut Julius Jones to make room for Lynch on the active roster.

They were going to cut Jones earlier, but he restructured his deal to stay. Guess it wasn't quite enough. :muttley:

Man thats gotta hurt.

Well ive been saying the RB is getting easier and easier to replace and this just shows how fast it can be done. I think it would have been sooner had Seattle seen that Julius was not a RB from the get go and got a decent one in the draft.

Does not have to be stellar, but like all RB's just has to go forward.

Great pick for us Bill!

Fixed that for you...Jerry had nothing to do with picking Julius Jones

and for about the 100,000th time...Parcells said if they wouldnt have traded down, they were gonna pick Kevin Jones anyway...

Julius was legit for his first two years, when there was no hope and he was the only thing to look forward to.

So despite what he has said Jerruh has no input on draft choices? Your efforts to hate BP really are sad.

Speed alone doesn't not a RB make.

The wind would blow Jones over. He needed grand canyon sized holes to break long runs. That just doesn't happen as often in the NFL as it does in college. The defenses are better and faster.

When evaluating a RB in college, the first think you want to look for is what happens after first contact. (and no pushing a pile 3-4 more yards isn't breaking a tackle (ala Darren McFadden)) If he can break tackles and keep going, then you may have a winner. If he can break tackles and run fast as hell, (All Day / Chris Johnson) you definitely have a winner.

Julius that 8 games was something else. he jitterbugged, made people miss, had madden impressed in the Giants game. And he carried that one NO LB that outweighted him by about 40 lbs 5 yards into the endzone. But he was never that good again. I personally thinked that when he bulked up his upper body he lost his edge in balance, and then he became reluctant to do anything but what the play called for- never ran for daylight again.

Once again this is the same Jerruh that claims he approves all picks?

He does. He even said so himself. Nobody is picked until he signs off. He said point blank, "I have final say in ALL decisions."

Funny thing is, if you ask any great RB; they all tell you that their legs were paramount. They all "do the hill" as their primary workout. Julius? He built up his upper body, but didn't put the same effort into his lower body. I'm not even sure he worked out on a hill.

He is at the end of his career. We pick him you guys complain about him being hurt all the time. Neither did anything for their respective teams...

I'm so sick of this stupid argument.

...and 10 teams didn't pick Ware, 23 teams didn't pick Dez, 68 teams didn't pick Witten, 223 teams didn't pick Ratliff, nobody drafted Romo, nobody drafted Austin, 24 teams didn't draft Jenkins, etc

Shut the hell up. Ever team misses on a pick and wins on other picks. The Cowboys have won many and even hit the jackpot without even wasting a pick.

Get over it, your argument is old and today is a non-issue. We've got THREE good freaking running backs! :bang2:

Don't know what happened to him after his rookie season.

During a 4-5 game stretch his rookie season, he looked electric. Even against tough defenses like the Ravens, he was able to find holes and use his feet to consistently pick up yards. Then he would have a run or two where he looked great.

He never had great vision, but he lost his quick feet at some point. I don't know if he bulked up too much or was just lucky for a few game stretch.

I remember when he had a big run in his last season here, the olineman ran up to him so excited and I think Columbo said 'Julius is back'. Turned out, he wasn't.

Good luck Julius.

bring him in! we need to add some explosiveness to this offense. Felix obviously isn't getting it done.
