I would like to point out that wasn't happy with TO being signed. I am still upset we didn't keep Keyshawn.

After listening to ESPN radio today and watching and reading all sports media sources yesterday, I am now completely convinced there is no better team in the NFL for TO than the Dallas Cowboys. The love-hate relationship the media has with Owens is almost the same as the one they have with the Cowboys.

The way I look at it .. every day on the radio, I get to hear about the Dallas Cowboys. I've heard more Parcells press conferences in the last two days on TV and the radio than I had heard in months that did not involve internet streaming. I didn't even have to go to DC.com to listen ..

Honestly, I hope T.O. does something like this every week. I know the media loves to hate the Cowboys but all they do is talk about them every day. Irony at its best.

You know the Cleveland Browns fans right now are thinking to themselves, "we wish we had a TO so we could get to hear about our team every day."

Thank you ESPN, CNN/SI, CBS SportsLine, Fox and others for making the Dallas Cowboys the most talked about team on the planet!

.. and most importantly, thank you Ed Werder and John Clayton for showing that the two-step is not a lost art form .. it's just evolving to a new medium.

I loved ESPN today. Carried every second of the Parcells press conference until he started talking about the Titans. They quickly bailed back to the studio and I could almost hear the groan from the studio execs that TO time was over.

God forbid Parcells talk about the damn game on Sunday.

well, considering i founded a vast majority of my opinion about TO *FROM* the media, it only stands to reason that if i see them do this, then it makes me rethink everything i've ever heard about TO from them as well.

still don't care much for the man, but the give him no room to even fart in the wind w/o it being a toxic cloud and he's now out to kill kindergardeners with it.

press - get real.

Yeah its definitely a two-fer.... hate the Cowboys, hate TO... maybe a three-fer... hate the fact that the Cowboys have a TO.

Is it true that he WANTED to go to Denver... and not Dallas?

You know, I didn't understand why his former teammates liked him so much and yet why he was hated so. It's because the haters uniformly like to hear themselves talk and they don't listen to the man.

Yes, I know he does and says stupid things, but he almost always has a smile on his face and his comments are so matter-of-fact.

Oh, and Reality, thx for the post.

It has gotten really bad on ESPN's website. On the front page, they have the spotlight section that scrolls to each sport like MLB, NFL, etc. Well now, TO has his own section there. So now it says MLB, NFL, TO, etc.

TO/Parcells is a match made in public sports heaven. Somewhere Jerry Jones is sitting in his little Media room at home, smiling all the way to the bank. America's Team/ America's Coach/ America's Owner/ and America's Super Star.

I generally agree with everything that you said, but this statement takes it just a bit over the top for me. :p:

I too think he's a perfect fit here, just like Deion Sanders. Incidentally I can't stand either player because I don't like players that make the game about themselves. Still, their larger than life personalities seem to fit like a glove in this town.

Yeah, I love when the media talks about our Cowboys, but I'm anxious to get back to football.

Don't forget...hate Jerry Jones....Hate Bill Parcells. If you're a hater this is the place to be.

Well, I don't want him to OD and call 911 each week :) But I hope he does something to make sports radio, TV and web sites talk about him and the Cowboys the following week.

This is it people. TO is the outside contraversy that will band this team and all the fans together. You can feel it, the way we're handing it, the way the front offfice is handling it, the coaching staff, the players, everything, it just feels right, it feels "like home". The first half of the 90's wear our helmet-print from the last time that happen. Proof in point, find one Cowboy fan to say Irvin was bad. All TO has to do is start catching touchdowns and for this team to start winning and the whole Cowboy-Machine will start feeding off the hate from the outside word, protecting everything within. Barb-wired tumbleweed rolling through the NFL. We are BACK! Suck it in and remember this moment.

I really don't understand this. What exactly did you hear about the cowboys TEAM this week that you did not know. How much coverage did the TEAM get. How much of BP's PC's were about the TEAM.
That is one reason why I did NOT want TO coming here - because it would no longer be about the team, but what TO did.

Oh relax... its not all about TO... there are other players on the team and when we win... because we will... it will be a team effort...

Why, why is it always about TO? is akin to "Why is it always about Marsha-Marsha-Marsha?" - that would make the complainers = Jan :D

The poster said he was happy he got to hear about the Cowboys this week. I don't think he did and that was the point. I was not complaining about it, it should not have been a big story.

But.. we definitely did not have a lot of COWBOYS news this week did we?
