Norm is blasting the 2006 draft

Carp- backup ILB
Fasano- Career backup now that we have scraped the 2 TE
Hatcher- Project
Green- Out
Stanley- Backup
WAtkins- Backup
McQ- Backup
Whitley- Out

6 of the 8 picks are still on the roster. That's probably better then most drafts.

I just heard that as well.

They really blasted last the Boys on last year and how it looks like they are duplicating their first pick in choosing Spencer, when they chose Carpenter last year. They also questioned whether or not Spencer could defend the run.

Mentioned that Watkins looks like it was a wasted pick as well since they had to go out and sign Hamlin.

Lets hope Carpenter, Hatcher, and Watkins prove them wrong this year.

I think it will be a solid draft. Nothing less, nothing more.

I do think Hatcher is the key though. I think Carp and Fasano will be solid players on a good team. Hatcher is a guy who could really become a player in time though. Will he? Who knows, but he definately has some upside.

Also, lets not forget the undrafted FA's that we signed as well. Add those guys to the draft above.

what was he wrong about...

It's too soon to 'blast' the 2006 draft. There were no starters but Parcells doesn't like rookies and we have a good enough team that most draftees aren't going to start.

Well, it certainly didn't turn out to great last year I agree.

It is a bit early to write off them yet(aside from Green:bang2: )

I think Carpenter will be a solid player,Hatcher,Watkins and McQ all are worth what we gave for them.
Fasano I think was a reach, but that was the price of Bill;)

Whitley,late round injury...I liked him

Spencer is a beast on the run,90 something tackles...20 something for loss

Does that sound like a bad DE's #'s:rolleyes:

Carpenter,Hatcher and Watkins all could have a much better season.

WOW judging the success or failure of any draft after one year is foolish.
