No question, dumpster dive free agency no doubt with all those contracts coming up, look for more reclamation projects and bargain bin free agents.

Then all the pressure is in nailing at least 3 slam dunk contributing draft picks on the low end of practically every round.

Undrafted Free Agent hit rate has been sparse lately as well but at least Jerry has Mike, the difference maker in coaching to lead the way for another season.

Nailed it. You could have included a 7th round pick who used to deliver the newspaper to Mike McCarthy’s uncle.

I will counter…

1st Round - 2nd round guy at a position they have ignored for years. But don’t worry, Stephen will tell you how the 49ers were trying to trade up for him and that the Ravens GM texted him that the Cowboys “took our guy”

2nd round - Player at a position of a glaring need that the Cowboys missed out on in the 1st round. Especially if a team trades up in front of the Cowboys to draft him. If you weren’t sure, it will also be a pretty significant reach. Possibly a 4th round guy. He went to a great school though.

3rd round - Exception player. Talented but undersized. Especially if he was a grandkids roommate or grew up a Cowboys fan

4th round - 6th round guy.

5th round- Undrafted Free Agent guy. Someone even the biggest draftnik is unfamiliar with.

6th round - Best pick of the draft. Jerry’s napping and the scouts are in charge.

7th round - A guy who didn’t even start for his college team.

This could be possible but i still have some faith in Will McClay. 2023 he layed an egg but if he gets back to his usual standards it will be like this

1st Round - Day 1 Starter with Pro Bowl / All Pro Potential
2nd Round - Reach on Position of Need
3rd Round - A guy that dropped because of Injury or personal history but has high upside and was ranked way higher
4th Round - dont have a pick
5th Round - Found a Gem that has starting potential
6th Round - Fond a Gem that has starting potential
7th Round - PS or Cut in 2 years.

With the money Jerry has to pay out next season in contract extensions. I bet the Cowboys draft much differently this time. We need 3 starters at least and 3 more guys that get snaps.
