Loaded with Cowboys' fans. Electricity in the air. Seated at the 50 yard line was great. The Cowboys' players were cheering on the fans to make noise.
The good news is that I took hundreds of great high quality photos which I will be happy to post so everyone can enjoy. The defense held the top scoring team to 22 points.
The bad news is that the primary weakness of the Boys is the OL.
THEY FAIL TO CONTROL THE LINE AS DID COWBOY TEAMS OF YESTERYEAR AND COULD GET TOUGH YARDAGE WHEN THEY NEEDED, AND GAVE OUR QB TIME TO THROW. DAK WAS HARRASSED MOST OF THE GAME.
This team needs to sign a free agent guard road grader, no older than 26-27, move Tyler Smith to LT and draft number one a stud offensive lineman with the strength and a skill set like Tyler Smith, with G-T position flex. Steele at RT is very disappointing. How is Waletsko? Can he play RT with his 6"8" height and long arms push away pass rushers, and be another Marc Colombo?
In 2nd round we need a tough LB and hope Overshown makes a full recovery.
On defense, the loss of Vander Esch has been enormous. His size and height was important in blocking throwing lanes. Yesterday, the Fins TE was open way too often in the middle. Also, since LVE got injured, the run defense has deteriorated.
Who was the last DT on the Cowboys who has an acclaimed big season? Jason Hatcher in his final year with the Boys 2013, 11 sacks, 13 TFL's? Jay Ratliff? We need big and tall defensive tackles who can block QB's vision, 6'5" and up, like Bob Lilly, Jethro Pugh, Chad Hennings, Leon Lett.
I notice that on passing downs, many of our defensive linemen are standing up. The frequency of QB sacks has gone down tremendously. Get back to a traditional stance.
Tyreek Hill made Mahomes. I saw in yesterday's game how Hill's blazing speed gets him open very easily. Tyreek killed the Cowboys. He was the difference maker. The Fins went to him all game long. Why could not Dak go to Lamb all game long. Cee Dee is certainly a playmaker.
