This year -
Yards per game: 379.1 (4th)
Points per game: 29.9 (2nd)
Turnovers per game: 1.1 (7th)
Time of possession: 32:38 (4th)

Last year -
Yards per game: 354.9 (22nd)
Points per game: 27.5 (4th)
Turnovers per game: 1.5 (17th tie)
Time of possession: 29:27 (22nd)

Overall, the offense is clearly better at this point. The red zone issues need to be cleared up. Like in years past, defensive turnovers inflate the points. Like in years past, they rack up the numbers against poorer teams. That said, the improved time of possession and reduced turnovers is winning football.

The past 4 games have been significantly better. Greg Olsen did a quick analysis on a play last game where Dak had a short/long read and when the coverage guy came up, he went long. I kind of wonder if a lot of the improvement is simply Dak getting more comfortable with the reads and getting more aggressive with the throws. I wonder if these longer one on ones were there early and Dak just wasn't comfortable taking them yet. To McCarthy's credit, there has been noticeably more motion.

The run game hasn't been particularly great. The Giants game featured a lot more Dowdle and it looked better. There was more variation in play type instead of the "Pollard up the middle for 2 yards out of the gun" play that seemed like was most of the running offensive gameplan early.
