Official "How the Hell did Tiger make that chip" Thread

The thing is I don't think that ball was going to drop of its own will. I think the vibration from the cheering/jumping crowd as well as Tiger following it probably did the trick. Either way, that was one heck of an imaginative shot!! Same as when DiMarco's ball rolled back down the hill at least 2 minutes after it had seemingly settled when the ball Tiger hit right afterwards landed on the green. Some guys have all the luck.....and a whole lotta skill too. I'm kinda surprised he didn't run away with it though, made for a great finish.

Thats up there with Mize's chip on 18. One of the most amazing Golf shots Ive ever seen.

I still can't believe that shot. Another memorable tourney from Woods

Kinda like the last shot on Caddyshack.

that shot was amazing, especially on the heels of trevor's hole in one. the fans around 16 got a thrill for sure.

My thoughts exactly.

Somewhere, Bill Murray had to have been laughing.

What an amazing shot.

Does anyone have a clip of it?
There's a link on espn.com to the highlights by the story...

It's a javascript link, so I'm not sure how to link to it..

I had never seen a shot like that before... I kept waiting for the gopher to show up and take the ball through his tunnels...

Don't think we'll ever see something like that again

The shot itself was really nothing special. Plenty of people have made the same chip to that pin placement.

The drama, the situation, and the pressure made the shot memorable, but if anyone other than the winner or runner-up would have hit it, nobody would be talking about it.

How many threads have you seen on various boards discussing the ace Immelman made there a group in front of them?
