we are competing against two other teams for the last spot in the playoffs...at worst....

The Falcons and Vikes...and they have tough schedules so we are still in it...but we have to win next week....if things shape up the way they are looking...seattle and the bears will have a bye and we will play the gints in new york so we have to win out in order to get home field advantage...if we can just beat them out I think we can beat them at home...if we stay healthy and somehow we get our OL under control...but they are going to have alot of confidence...no way we beat them there...the only chance we have is at home...we have to win out! is there anyone out there that thinks we can? i think 3-1 would be hard but that would be the only possibility in my book...we will win next sunday though.........book it...

STS, did you see the KC game? What exactly did you see that gives you optimism we can score with KC? Sorry, but I no longer feel our OL can provide enough protection for the offense to score many points. I think we lose to KC.

We don't have to beat KC.

We do have to beat the NFC teams, though. In order to win the tie breaker.

The Boys are very good at home in big games and this KC game is big. Dallas doesn't need to score with KC because they will not do alot of scoring. No one has on this D and it isn't going to start this weekend.

guys we will not make the playoffs. i just do not see us winning no more then two more games if that is possible. the oline is just a mess.

IF we make the playoffs this year it will probably be a cameo one and done like in '03.

As the Fonz would say, Exactamundo. A symbolic visit to the playoffs ain't my thing.

Without a dominant O-Line and a solid running game, nothing else matters. We have the Defense we need. We have an adequate QB provided the other ingredients are there, but first things first.

Teams a game or 2 back with 4 games remaining are no worries huh?

Interesting.

Naive, but interesting.

have u guys forgot the 8-4 Bucs? yes we are currently battling Atlanta and Minny buts that for the final spot.

:hammer:

(sorry Ice.)

I don't think Minny can keep their streak going much longer. They will fall apart soon and the Falcons seem to be fading.

Gotta win out to get the best possible seed and not let KC scare us. Gotta have that "tough at home" mentality come Sunday.

Here is the true breakdown..

Min plays Pitts and Chi still
Atl plays car,tb, and chicago.

Realistically we need to win at least 2 to make the playoffs. If we win 2, i have no doubt atl will lost 2 our of their 3, and Min will lose BOTH. Minnesota is 7-5... Yet they are 1-5 against teams with winning records. Look who they play, even then it's close every game.

If we win 2 we will be 9-7, tied with minnesota most likely and get the nod for the better conf record(depending if we win 2 of the nfc games) otherwise there will be misc. tie breakers.

It's not nearly as bleak as you all make it out to be.

Did you see our O-line today? It doesn't matter what other teams do if we don't win.

The whole NFC south plays each other. I think each team plays 3 games vs the others. So ATL/TB could fall a little

....man I hate scoreboard watching

The Falcons and Vikes...

I think it's more that we're competing with Tampa Bay or Carolina, and Atlanta
