I think we should sign Ty Law... He would be a great mentor for the younger corners and he still has some skills. We should resign pete hunter( isn't he up for a contract)? If not we should make him a safety...that's what he played in college. he has the speed for sure. Lance frazier we just resigned and he is ok...not great but ok for a rookie last year. That would give us Newman.Law,Hunter,frazier,Jones, Thornton for corners and Williams and Hunter for safetys plus dixon and scott for backups(also Dantzler). we could still pick up a better free safety if we wanted( I would)!!! know i said Hunter twice but maybe even a ken lucas type in there if hunter is moved to safety. what do ya think???? :iggles:

If Law's injury is fully healed and we can sign him without having to guarantee a bunch of money, I think he'd be a good addition.

Hunter's under contract I believe. I doesn't seem to me that they want to move Hunter to Safety for some reason.

Some people here on the board do not really like Lucas, but there are others who say he's underrated and is flying under everybody's radar screen due to the fact he plays in the Pacific NW.

I think Law will be allright under parcells if he comes here at all... if he agrees to come i think it shows he just wants to win and be paid accordingly whereas on the Patriots he wouldn't get paid his worth.( This being said I don"t think we should overpay)

Personally, I just want us to do whatever it takes to shore up our defense after last season's debacle.

Hunter played safety in college, but I've not heard anything up to this point that would lead me to believe that they would actually move him to that position.

The Pats were paying him a damn healthy salary under a contract that he agreed to and signed. He just saw what other CB's were starting to get and got greedy; he was getting what he was worth IMO. I never liked that kind of attitude and don't want it bleeding over onto our team and infecting our younger players. Law has maybe two good years left in him and and that is if he can stay healthy. He has never been as good as he is hyped to be; I'd rather go younger and better.

Excuse Me...I jreally do think that Pete Hunter would make and axcellent free safety...he has good speed and is not afraid to hit.(though admittedly not the best tackler).
