Seems to be a lot of "this doesn't change anything" to "this changes everything" but neither is necessary because we can just drink this win in and get onto the rest of the season next week.

If I asked you what one win would you want going into the bye week, would this not be it?

If I asked you would you prefer to get a close win or kick their butts, which would it be?

It's not often the Cowboys beat the Eagles by 27 and the game wasn't really that close, that was an old fashioned asswhoopin' and a game that should be savored like a fine wine. Don't hurry this one, enjoy it for what it is, one game. One glorious win against the team that most Cowboys fans would like to beat.

Forget the season for right now, just drink this one game in, Cowboys 37 Eagles 10. Forget 3 in a row, either way, and think about clobbering our East rival and all of those Eagles fans up there watching that debacle. Think any of them were considering climbing the lamp posts after that game? I think the cops can put away the lamp post grease for a while.

Think about Jaworski and his mouth, Bill Bergey, Buddy Ryan, McNabb and his mouth and just general existence, The Walrus on the sideline, the pickle juice game and Chip "Chapstick" Kelly.

Drink it in, let it soak in, doesn't matter whether you are an optimist or pessimist, the rest of the season doesn't matter for these next few days. Think about this game as much as you can this week and be happy, you deserve to be happy and they gave you a reason to be happy last night, don't waste it.

And, my friends, if you are having trouble doing this. Think about how you'd feel if that game was reversed on you last night. There now, feel better?

I was thinking the same thing. I was expecting a more celebratory mood in here today.

I can’t think of a fan base that’s more fun to watch after a loss. Their hatred of us is almost psycho. It’s an inferiority complex that was formed in the 70s, when we beat those birds like a drum. That old Veterans Stadium saw a lot of Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Drew Pearson, Randy White, etc dancing on their faces.

We won 17 out of 20 against the birds in the 70s. They’ve never recovered psychologically.

The score difference should have been more. Two costly mistakes gifted the Eagles 7 points. That was utter domination. It was truly entertaining to watch. It just doesn't change my opinion of what needs to happen with this coaching staff if they don't win at least a divisional playoff game this playoffs. (Assuming they make it that far)

Same here and that's why I started this, don't know if it will help but sometimes on life's highway, ya just can't tell folks to stop and smell the roses, ya gotta stick their head in the bush.

BfV, to be candid, I was the same way when I got here, all about the East and the other teams and where we stand and all of the sudden I thought 'WE BEAT TYHE FEAKIN' EAGLES BY 27', hard to ignore myself when I think in caps. I saw that a lot were doing the same so I needed to remind all of us to enjoy this for what it is. It is not 1 of 16, it is a very special 1, it is our precious.

It is sometimes hard to enjoy because you never know with this team. Part of the enjoyment aspect of winning is the expectation of things to come.

With this team, the expectation is 50-50

Sometimes you get a 2018 New Orleans performance and sometimes you get a 2018 Rams performance!

Honestly, I don' even look big picture in the NFL or sports in general any longer. Just enjoy it game to game. Who cares about our schedule to end the year. Who cares what the Eagles or other teams have coming up. We still control our own destiny in the East. Most likely won't get a top 2 seed like we hoped but oh well. Still a lot of season left and teams that were once up can fade and teams that were fading can make a comeback. We were 3-5 and dead in the water and made it to the divisional round. I will enjoy beating the Eagles and staying in 1st going into the bye. And coming back with another huge MNF game against a divisional opponent.

Us as fans should just enjoy the moment. Let the players/coaches worry about all the future.

And many times you get both of them in the same games! haha. In our Packers and Jets losses, it was a tale of 2 halves. Consistency is our issue, even during the game, not just week to week. We could be at the very top of this league right now if we actually played consistently and our coaches were consistent.

I agree but you can return to that next week. This is WE BEAT THE FREAKIN' EAGLES BY 27 week. aikey, push that back, take in the moment and be happy as long as you can right now. The future will take care of itself next week, the present is enjoying this win.

Meh, in the grand scheme of things it was another win over another team with a losing record. I like it but am not drinking the Kool Aid like many on this site. It’s almost as if people forgot we lost to the Jets and think Philthy is a Super Bowl caliber team.

I know why you started it. That's why I posted in it.

I came here to celebrate a Cowboys victory, with fellow Cowboys fans, after beating the hated Eagles. Instead, I'm seeing a lot of the same hated agendas from the same people the day after the win.
Can't we all put that aside for at least a day or two after beating the Eagles and celebrate?

You don't enjoy seeing those Eagles fans cry? I drank Philly tears for breakfast :flagwave:

In the grand scheme of things, it probably wont matter. But we beat the hated Eagles.

That's cause for celebration on it's own. :starspin::starspin::starspin:

It is a win over a .500 team, not a team with a losing record - if we are splitting hairs...

I think you're looking at this win all wrong. Philly isn't any better than their 3-4 record. They are the only likely competitor for winning our division and we beat the snot out of them.
