I dont know if this has been mentioned yet, but if it wasnt for Hoyte being in the way, I think Newman would have ran it back for sure.. what do yall think?

Well, it seemed like Newman was getting tackled by his own guys. I don't remember Hoyte, but I do remember Burnett having a clean hit on Newman.

If this team could keep from stepping on its own toes, it would be unstoppable!!!!

Newman gave an interview that was aired on DC.com and he said he LOVES to field punt returns.

Why isn't he returning everyone of them? I would be really upset if he got hurt but hey its football there is a risk on every play. Does anyone think that Parcells does not want him to get too tired running back punts so he can stay fresh for his CB duties?

I find it hard to believe that returning 1-2 punts a quarter is going to wear him out, especially since he plays defense and will be resting afterwards

Hell, Deion play CB, punt returner, and WR and did just fine

It's funny how Newman got some advice from Deion last week about returning punts, told us all what that advice was, did exactly what Deion told him to do, and almost broke one.

Make one cut and go.

I don't think he needs a whole lot of advice. He was the best punt returner in the country at Kansas State

"One cut and go" doesn't seem like a whole lot of advice.

I can't wait for T-New to take one to the house either on a punt return or interception. He is one exciting player.

I thought the hesitation was that the chances of getting injured (not winded) are considerably greater.

When he had that one long one it was eerie I thought it was deion. The way T-New wears his uniform he looks a lot like deion.

Sometimes we over complicate things for no reason.

The simplest advice are usually the best, not just in football but in daily life.

No wait...I think this solves all of life's answers!

Yeah, had he not hit Hoyte, it was TD.. He had an army of blockers in front of him, and the blockers basically would've cleaned house.
