December 2, 2016

Exactly 6 years ago today, the Dallas Cowboys led by rookies QB Dak Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott had won 11 straight games (their longest winning streak in a single season in franchise history) and had amassed an 11-1 record at that point to their 2016 season.

Yep, no complaints about Dak or Zeke back then. I wonder why that has changed over the years?

Years of disappointment will do that to a fanbase. 2016 was a fresh start, although there were plenty skeptical about Dak back then. Zeke got a little hate off the field, but his real undoing was the hold out/contract.

As exciting as that 2016 season was, losing to the Packers was a gut punch.
That game if we had started off fast should have been easy win , instead Turned into a AR theatrical win in the end. I still remember DL was getting outright tackled but no holding calls in that miraculous pass to TE and stupid Byron didn’t bat that.

The disappointment should have been aimed at the coaches instead of the players. The players provided a winning formula back in 2016, the coaches just got away from that formula. That pass happy, Dak friendly concept was trash. Pure trash. Damn coaches.

No one covered cook on that play lol. AR actually threw a late bad pass and cook just made a great catch.
Then AR got all the credit for that play.

Yeah, Byron was right there to knock it down. But the pass was thrown out of bounce, so why bat a pass that's going out of bounce. That's pretty much what he was thinking, but I bet he wishes now that he would have made a play on the ball.

I never believed in that defense either. This will be the first year we hit the playoffs with me, actually believing in the D. That is, if the run game D can hold adequately rest of season.

Was never his strong suit.
