Once you play that well, there's nowhere to go but down, right?

Will we spend the rest of this season and all of the off-season pointing back to the MIN game and saying, "That's how good we coulda been"... ?

It's a little scary for those committed to sobriety, even those of us who are generally optimists at heart.

A lot came together in that game, and some of it was on MIN, not actually our own doing, of course... which is pretty much any game, but still... has this team raised the bar too high for its own good?

Just interested to read others' answers, and truly have no definite opinion either way as I compose the post.

Good original thought out post.
There is such a thing as peaking too early I believe. I thought the way Buffalo looked to start the year was as close to dominant as can be.
Now they still look strong but not nearly as before.

It's a cliche, but I hope the Cowboys are playing their best ball come playoff time. This season seems to be one of those years where which ever team gets hot at the end and can keep it going in the playoffs will win it all.

I hope they didn't peak too early against Minnesota.

In a blowout of all blowouts why were the most important pieces on the field for so long in a short week?

matchups are the key. We match up beautifully with the Vikings and could probably beat them 7 out of 10 games. We match up disastrously with the Niners and would lose the majority of the games with them

We can’t expect to face a potted plant like Cousins in the playoffs and may very well have to have to deal with a running Jaylen Hurts in the playoffs which plays right into our weakness.

Consistency is the only thing the team needs to work on. There's no doubt after the thumping they put on the Vikings that they can beat any team this year if they show up with that same desire and effort. Maybe the Green Bay game made them mad and lit a fire. We'll see next game.

I expect them to be compotent

40-3 and 21-20 can be just the same depending upon the opponent

if we beat Kansas City 21-20 by running the ball and stopping a late Patrick Mahomes drive by intercepting him then imo we put together a great game and won

its the NFL you dont win 40-3 every week those expecting it well......i rather not say what im thinking

I wouldn’t say “down”.

a win is a win is a win. I don’t care if the cowboys win by 37 or win every game by 1. Just win baby.

Correct.

Parcells would be working overtime in this short week to try to avoid his team from smelling themselves and laying an egg on Thanksgiving.

If Parcells was coach now. Who on the team would he call “she”? (Besides Dak of course)

I'm hoping we're peaking at the right time. I'm optimistic that Minnesota was our statement game and this is who we are. I feel we peaked in September and October last season. Speaking of last season we were cruising then Denver hit. Then we regressed. I was legit concerned that Green Bay was going to be our "Denver" game of this year. GB seemed to expose Dak and our defense. Then the next game Dak and our defense pretty much said "nope, not again." So I'm thinking we may be peaking now going into December and the playoffs. Another thing about last season that we don't talk about much is Zeke and Pollard were injured. Pollard injured his fascia and lost his explosiveness going into the stretch run. This season our running game seems to he hitting it's stride, pardon the pun.

Helman and I are mind melding... both in terms of the "ceiling" and in terms of the "consistency."

I especially love the "hold my beer" line around 8:57.
