Too much jersey changing.

MLB has a ton as well and I just can't stand it.

I like to see a guy retire with the team he was drafted by and not be doing it ceremoniously after playing for some other team for a few years.

Maybe it just seems like the MLB/NBA has more because the average career is much, much longer. Guys can play though 3-4 contracts.

Whatever it is, I don't like it. I hate it. I hate when players opt for money. I think it's ****ing stupid. It's not like their current team is trying to pay them with Target gift cards. The difference is so small compared to the total amount of the contracts that I just really can't respect many guys who clearly go for the money only.

Guess it just comes down to the fans being more loyal the players.

at first thought you meant that teams change their jerseys far too often, and i agree....

but with FA, it is just too hard to keep players in one place anymore. It is rare to have guys like Robinson, Duncan, Bird, Magic, Isaiah....in baseball it is even rarer to have guys like Ripken, Biggio, Bagwell, Jeter....

players want the big bucks and to contend. with FA this allows them both. So why stay in on a crap team or continue to make crap money when you can move on and get what you want, a huge pay day or a chance at a title.

out of the 4 major sports, hockey is the worst though, as far as players staying with the same team year in and year out.

why did you scratch it out? There are players who take less to try to win a Championship.....they are usually older players who are past their prime and have made their money.
