While I totally agree in principle, both guys are very high ceiling players. Smith is a top 15 talent that fell due to injury and Carter is the best immature DL in the draft

I would have rather the Eagles drafted Robinson because the fans really wanted him. That would tell me the Eagles are letting their fans run their board. Carter could be a young Suh but Smith dropped for a reason. They will pick a good running back tomorrow.

Agreed, both are boom or bust type of selections. Odds are one hits and one becomes rotational fodder. I'm not too worried about their draft so far. I was way more concerned about their DL last season after drafting Jordan Davis to pair with Hargrave and Cox.
