Last night was a great win, and i do believe this team is starting to hit its stride when it needs to, but something ive notice all season long is that when we need a yard not even a yard we can never get it. 3 times this happened last night 2 fourth and 1s and the 3 and 1 inside the 10. i know this team is playing good but they need to figure out this problem.

It starts with not running draw plays that allow front 7 penetration wince they are designed to make a Defense think pass.

Agreed, drive block, convert, repeat.

Exactly. I think our biggest issue in those short yardage situations is that we're way too predictable with our playcalling and it's killing us in those situations.

That was my only complaint from last night and we've got to shore that part up.

We need to sneak a pass in there a few times. Teams sell out to the dive play way too much and we need to make them pay for it. Sneak Phillips out and I guarantee he will be open.

you would just think with size and strength of our o-line they would be able to get that push.

When it becomes an epidemic, it is no longer a player-execution problem, it is a coaching problem.

But I'm also bothered by the closing 2 minutes of the first half. That clock management was so poorly managed that it left at least 3 points on the field. Players simply did not know what to do.

What's worse, is that this has happened before, so this is an epidemic also, just like the predictable play-calling on 3rd and 4th and 1.

It is quite clear that there is no offensive plan in place for these failed situations on offense, and that we have a coordinator who is in over his head. That's why these epidemics are coming to be.

I mean defenses know what is coming. That's a major advantage.
