I love the way Maher basically said *** you to the NFL. Not sure what that whole end of half was about but it didn’t matter to Brett. After kicking a 60 yarder and the refs saying WTH and making him kick another. He cooling kicked another that was even better and longer.

Many will see this as simply a good kicker just being a good kicker which is true. But most kickers can’t make 60 yarders much less 2 in less than 5 minutes. This is an indication of how this team is truly a team. They are all in. All in for each other. They all are dying to give all they have when they get the chance.

This is good **** for those paying attention.

Why do you think Maher’s ability to kick a 60 yarder twice in a row is an indication that this team ‘is truly a team’ and ‘all in for each other’? What if he had missed the second kick? Still all in for each other or only 50/50 (one foot out the door, I suppose)?

That kick has nothing to do with a statement from the whole team. But it is an indictment on how stupid it was for the NFL to wait almost three minutes before even reviewing the prior catch. It's not like the Cowboys were running a hurry up offense at the time. I feel once the Cowboys lined up for the FG, that's it... time was up for any more delays. Forcing Maher to kick that 60 yarder again was totally out of line. Maher did make the second kick and made it all mute....but it surely does not exempt the NFL trying to screw the Cowboys again. Never seen that before and i bet we won't see it again.

There is no way they should have made him kick another one. They could have not let them line up and run the play if they were going to review that play. They had plenty of time to stop it. Not like we rushed out there real quick. Was it one of those weird things the refs do to just us. Never seen that happen before.

What sold me that he did it for the team was when he made the 2nd kick he gave the ref the middle finger and stated", GOBBLESS HOSS".

LOL...I LOVE it that he made the second 60 yarder. I don't know how that had anything to do with playing as a team. I will say this, when things like that go your way, that can fuel momentum. I don't mean game momentum. I mean season momentum. The best seasons all have moments that you can point back to and say things like, "That was a turning point." I don't know if making that second kick was that pivotal. I do know it added just a little bit of fuel to the fire.

Like I said in another thread, I'm more concerned that, yet again, we get a call that most of us have never seen happen in the NFL. I'm filled with distrust towards the NFL. I haven't made a tin-foil hat. But these dumfounded calls remove a lot of the joy of the game for me.

Exactly. Not one other team in the entirety of the NFL would have had to kick again based upon a play almost 7 or 8 minutes old with a snap in between.

That's a fact, Jack. Tell me again anti-Cowboys bias isn't real.
