I've seen fans lately just itching to trade Armstrong. I honestly don't get it. He was a key piece to the puzzle and really helped us in the win category last year. I didn't see him doing anything that hurt the team either, which is just as important as helping.

I've also noticed that we've got quite a bit of depth there. There will be times when you may even want to start Armstrong to keep Parsons fresh. Or rotate him in when we've got the game in the bag.

I realize Parsons will be after stats this year. I realize DLaw is still the man. I realize he's not anevery down player, but I do think he can be an important piece and I'm in no hurry to move him.

He has not been playing in PS. That means he is an expected rotation player at the least.

Armstrong has developed into a solid, dependable player. We signed him to a very reasonable deal for what he contributes. It's funny because guys crucify the players that get big money, but there aren't often accolades for those that perform at a value.

Yes, I believe he will be paid in due time. Maybe not here, but somewhere. Love him as a Cowboy. Not a JAG, IMO. Slightly above JAG.

Are there threads itching to trade him?

This is news to me. I thought he was a valued member of our d-line.

I want to add something more to your comment. Not only do these players not get the accolades, they're also more difficult to find than many assume. Some think we can just have any name out there, or that we'd easily get another player like him.. Not necessarily the case, though.

Something about him is clutch.

I've seen a few posters mention it, if I recall. But there has been even more media talking about the idea he should be traded for X,Y,Z...

Try Googling "Dorance Armstrong trade."

This fan isn't the least disappointed in the strong team contributor who makes a part of very strong defensive line positional strengths.
Our successful 90's defenses were rotational machines to keep fresh on the field and playing fast. Armstrong is a fit into that piece who just does his job. Want superstars at every position but you can't then guys like Armstrong are valuable. Do not trade this young man.
