Ok. Not going to be popular - Option # 2.
At # 32 - DT Travis Jones.
With our 2nd and the extra 2nd. I'm now drafting best available (at position of need) i.e. best available OL and WR. And now we have our 3rd and 4th with options to trade up if we want to with all the 5ths.
And now, I'm happy !

I would stay and pick one of the WRs or Guards. Tempted to take option 2 and take Travis Jones

I take option 2. I take Ekeketie in the 2nd round I go Sean Rhyan and Watson/Pickens or some other WR.

I would be fine with either, unless Raimann is the pick. Travis Jones/Tyler Smith would be my targets in scenario #2. In the first scenario, probably would lean on taking the best player available and land that last 1st rd graded player. I still would think hard about taking Jones or Smith as well.

I’d go with option #2. I think the ‘meat’ of this draft is between the 2nd and 4th rounds so I would like as many picks in that range as I can get.

I mentioned this before. What about our 24 and 56 for the Jets 35 and 38?

We're not getting an extra pick, but I think we're getting two better players than 24 and 56.

Good question

Scenario 1 is a possibility

Scenario 2 isn't really an option unless we throw in much more....plus Detroit is at 32 and doesn't have a late 2nd rounder.

So I'll just do Scenario 1.
Any of those that you listed are worth 31, imo.

If the right players (as in plural) are there when we're approaching 24 this is a very doable trade!
Great idea.
Of course, the Jets would have to agree with it too...lol

Anyone would go with #2 because it's WAY out of the question in our favor draft chart-wise. And we only drop down one slot to gain a 2nd vs 3rd...lol.
:flagwave:

Dream trade down would be with Chicago 39 & 48 for 24 if they want a WR for their young QB.

Scenario 2 and give me Ebiketie and I’d be ecstatic.

Id consider him at 24 but I’m higher on him than most.

Ideal situation - trade down but not out of the 1st and pick Johnson or Greene. This should net an additional 3rd round pick. In the 2nd round trade up using our 2nd and a 3rd to grab a top rated Wide Receiver that is available, probably Pickens or Sky Moore. This is a lot easier said then done!

With those options you stay there and take your pick. 3 lineman sitting there and possibly Karlaftis.

We're not getting an extra pick, but I think we're getting two better players than 24 and 56.
It's a wash by the traditional value chart. The more sophisticated charts think the Jets win that substantially. Of course, it depends on the details of the particular draft: if we think the player we're targeting at 35 is as good as (or the same guy as) what we'd take at 24, then it could be great. But you are giving up the 5th-year option on that first pick.

Trade 24 for lower 1st and higher 3rd.

Trade lower first for high 2nd and future 4th.

High 2nd - OL Tyler Smith
56 - NT Travis Jones (may need to trade up)
High 3rd - ED Sam Williams
88 - WR (Watson, Austin, Shakir, Pierce)
