Anyone else get the upgrade? Just installed it and it's pretty slick. Safari is a lot faster.

Not me. My computer pays my bills so i can’t risk it. Last time i upgraded right away (snow leopard) my Adobe Apps and fonts wouldn’t work or were glitchy. I have always loved Mac long before anyone else did, but they don’t care about he professionals anymore. That said, ill upgrade in a year. :(

Thinking about it. 30 bucks makes it very tempting.

It's definitely worth $30.

This article seems a little bit over the top in it's depiction of where Lion is with Adobe, but I did catch a few complaints on Apples Support forum regarding it, so I can't upgrade just yet. Do you have Photoshop?

Apple declares war on Adobe, as Lion disables Flash, Photoshop features (updated)

I don't have Photoshop, but Lightroom 3 works just fine. App upgrades are rolling out daily too. Also, no excuse on Adobe's part since the 10.7 beta has been seeded to developers for months now.

Wait a few weeks if you're that worried. Waiting a year is definitely overkill. As I said above, they're upgrading stuff daily.

What's Apples beef with Adobe?

Primarily Jobs seems to hate Flash. I can't imagine him allowing it to get in the way of the more important things like Photoshop and all other graphics software we rely heavily on, but there has been some junk.

A few years a go he entirely changed the code for OSX after having given Adobe a beta to work from and pretty much expected them to just adapt. The outcome? Mac users had to wait for a 64 bit Photoshop, while Windows users were already there.

He just does things and expects everyone to adapt to it and It's probably getting old for people like Adobe and other businesses.

Same as everyone else's problem with Flash, except Jobs is an extreme control freak who also takes grudges to the absolute extreme to boot.

That screenshot of Lion was from my hackintosh :p.

I got bored of it and deleted it though.
