I was talking to some of my old friends and colleagues this morning in Buffalo. One of the scouts (I wont say names for obvious reasons you will understand) was telling me about some of the jokes flying around the office regarding the Bills. Now understand, a lot of these scouts have a job to do and like any employee, you dont always agree, like or even respect your boss. The Raiders were brought up and their history of questionable drafts. The scout mentioned explained how things were not a lot better in Buffalo and he is expecting a total cluster (fill in the blank) this season.

As he explained, "The 2010 brain trust consists of a 91 year old owner who failed to make a single appearance at either the Senior Bowl, Combine, Pro Day or Personal Workout. A 70 year old GM who has never been a GM before and twice got on the wrong flight to attend a Pro Day workout and 58 year old coach with 2 years of NFL head coaching experience who openly admitted at yesterdays meetings that it's hard for him to take interest in anything to do with college player evaluation"

It could be a fun day in Buffalo!:lmao:

Chan Gailey...

I'll never forget his second season where every time on the road the other team would come back in the 2nd half to beat us.

It would be tough to be a Bills fan. 4 straight SB losses and now a complete disaster of an organization.

Hearing anything interesting about our guys?

The question now seems to be how old are the Bills scouts, do they make the right flights and how many times have they seen the college kids play (live or on tape)?

:laugh1:

Two of my best friends on the staff are only 33 and 31. They actually have a very young staff which now that I think about it will make things even that more interesting.:laugh2:

Commish at the podium: With their first round pick the Buffalo Bills pick...wait..what is this, this can't be right (an assistant and the bills rep comes up to confirm it is correct)....Ok yes they select Angelina Jolie WR from Alltheway U.

True story, Ralph Wilson can no longer see the buttons on the phone. He left last years draft mid 2nd round to take a nap.:laugh2:

Sounds like the guy is just a name now. That does not diminish what he has done over the years for the bills or NFL but sounds like he should just step down now.

Truth be told, it's a double edged sword. If he steps down the worry is the next owner will move the team. I really think he is waiting for a investment group lead by former Bills QB Jim Kelly to get their ducks in a row to buy to the team.

Here's the thing though, they may not have a choice but to move the team. Their contract with Eerie County is up in 2012 and the county has no intention of renewing the contract. Right now WNY is about as bad as it gets economically and the Bills are costing the taxpayer in excess of $9 million a year in subsidies. They are gone no matter what in 2012.

Probably better for Ralph Wilson that he can't see what is happening on the football field. Or hear for that matter.

On taking a nap: I'll probably be taking a nap mid second round too.

As a city, Buffalo is an armpit slightly better than Detroit. Best thing for player morale for the Bills is to move to Toronto (hot chicks and a good nightlife). I guarantee the players will respond. And for Detroit: best thing would be to move to LA (hot chicks , beach, nightlife).
