Is winning.
I know, go ahead and tell me I'm "not a real fan". Call me a hater, whatever makes you feel better. But the very worst thing for any Cowboys fan right now, is winning. I don't even mean playoffs. I mean even if we win 6-7 games, all will be right with the world according to Jerry. "Look what we did with all our injuries, and we still almost hung around the rim!"
I'm not attacking players anymore. It's not their fault that their personal goals (money) are placed above what should be the number one goal of any football team, and those delusions are validated by the worst owner in the NFL. It's not losing, it's not getting blown out, it's not the lost HC or the washed up DC, none of that even matters. The only chance for us to see any change between now and the next four years or so, is to be historically bad. You can't tank when you really are just that bad.
And maybe it's about time we start playing like it, because this season is over. The shock of distance between the culture of the Lions and what they play for has left me rattled when I look at our scrubs, then see our two overpaid divas making pouty faces at each other after a bad pass. That's it...that's what we have. That is what a billionaire has given us ON PURPOSE and what his bloated and even less interested son is waiting to take over. I turn 50 next year. Unless some epic-level stuff happens in Big D, and not for the better, I'm never seeing another Super Bowl before I die.
