Brett Maher.

This guy hit every big kick and was so consistent. I thought he was the best kicker in the league. I was watching New Orleans last year and he was money there too. So surprising he was a fa.

29-32. Fg missed one from 40-50 and two from 50plus. I believe one of those misses was from some crazy distance before halftime. 9-11 from 50 plus. 6-7 from 40-50. I think he won us 2-3 games by making every long fg throughout those games. People forget about him.

Yep he was money this year.
Hope we can afford to resign him.

In one of our games this season he nailed a 60 yarder right before halftime.

Then he had to hit it again after a late booth review of the PREVIOUS play was called in by the officials.

He was good both times.
Dude is an impressive kicker.

I remember when all the “experts” here derided and mocked signing him this past offseason.

Good times…. Good times….

Yes, that one kick was a 60 plus - what the hell attempt right at the end of a first half - so you can't really count that one against him. Its just a plus if he hits it, but in a normal situation would have been punted away. Forget which game it was in. Most teams would have not attempted it, but the way Maher was kicking the ball it was a legit chance he'd make it.

Brett Maher was terrific. He attempted 11 FG’s and only missed 2.

It's hard to say he's been snubbed when Jason Myers is 34 of 37, including 6-6 from 50-59 and Daniel Carlson is also 34 of 37, including 11 of 13 from 50-59. Neither of them has a 60-plus make (nor had to make it twice), but their numbers are better overall.

Maher has had a great year, much better than anything I expected, but All-Pro goes to the best and the others have been the best. Funny thing is Eddy Pineiro, who I wanted us to pick up for competition when the Jets cut him, has been better percentagewise (33-35, 94.3 percent) and so has Cameron Dicker (21-22, 95.4), whom some others on here wanted picked up after the Rams cut him as a punter. Dicker is already on his fourth team as a rookie despite being special teams player of the week. Just the life of a kicker, I guess. One week, you're right down the middle and the next, you're doinking off the upright.
