ARLINGTON, Texas — For many, suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys is a dream come true, but that dream feels much more meaningful when it's realized by someone who was born-and-raised in Texas, who then went on to play for the University of Texas and then heard his name called by the Cowboys in the 2023 NFL Draft.
On Saturday, the Arp, Texas native took the field for the first time as a Cowboy, when he tried to will Dallas to a victory alongside some of the other very impressive rookies.
"Got the first one out of the way," said Overshown. "I got my feet wet and now I'm ready for the season."

Not even gonna lie not familiar with him just basing my opinion on what i've seen thus far in Dallas. He honestly looks like a guy that contribute right now. I don't know what role....i've heard people say he'll take over for Kearse which is possible. Loving what I See thus far.

I don't care what he does as long as he's got all those things wrapped on his arms, and brings that EMOTION when making a big play!!!!!

My very first gut feeling was that this guy will either never get on the field, or will be a complete steal.

I don’t see him as a meh player. Either/or.

I can see Quinn putting him in spots to succeed, and I can see him being beyond confused to where you can’t dress him.

While true I’ve seen a bunch of good players from Texas come into the NFL and not look nearly as good.
Definitely more duds than successes. Sorry Longhorns fans, but it’s true. Although gotten better. Wasn’t that long ago that first round was the kiss of death from that school LOL - Ricky Williams to Leonard Davis to Quentin Jammer to Roy Williams to Vince Young and so on…..
