Overton was the overtime Captain and nobody else was sent out there for the coin toss. What message was being sent there?

Why not send Overton out there for overtime? Everyone else needed to reset and rest. So the message was...Hey Overton you're not important!

He lost the coin toss . Last time he gets the spotlight . Let KJ do the honors . Although the coin might hit the ground end up rolling into the end zone untouched .

You don't think the call for the coin toss is made on the sideline?

Call should be made in the air.
One team throws, the other team calls. That's how a coin flip is supposed to work.

Looked like a goofy throw that didn't actually flip.

He made the correct call. Tails never fails, except that time. Otherwise you have to go tails.
