Please tell me no more Crayton and his 5 yard returns ?

Now that Wade won't remove the skirt and let Felix return kicks, we better at least upgrade our punt returns...

Pac was brought here to do just that. Don't worry. The reason he hasn't been doing it in preseason is probably to get a look at Amendola. Come week 1 Pac will be the guy.

Pac
Crayton

We are set at PR - Amendola fumbled his chance away and at 4.7 and no second gear or NFL body/Strength he is outside looking in soon.

if he is deemed too valuable then he will not be returning punts.right now he will be the primary punt returner but that might change due to injuries.

Just hope he doesn't show to much improvement as corner and we are safe. If he does we will still see Crayton. :wink3:

Have we played a regular season game with Felix not returning kicks yet? Because I smelled BS yesterday when Wade was talking about Felix not doing it. And we know that NFL coaches *always* broadcast their true intentions to upcoming opponents through the media, right?

And even if Felix doesn't do it, that's probably a good thing, because it means he's doing so well that he's going to be an even bigger part of the offense than we realized. And how many coaches use their best players on KO returns full time? Parcells didn't use Julius there, and Julius was great at kickoff returns at Notre Dame. Belichick didn't use Maroney there until the playoffs. I bet LaDainaian Tomlinson would be SD's best returner... Should he be back there every game?

What would the team gain from being shady about who is going to be returning punts and kicks?

Im just thinking that either way teams could prepare for Felix and Pac and then be that much better off if Dallas chose to send out a lesser returner.

Better to have Adam Jones returning punts and kickoffs.

There is no point in risking Felix Jones on kickoffs when you've got a guy like Adam Jones on the roster and outstanding depth at the CB.

Why do coaches fib about injury reports or ban media access? They're just paranoid, and/or don't want to give away any edge. Call it an element of surprise or whatever you like... But they all do it.

And as far as punts, Pacman is going to be the one doing it. I don't think that's even a question.

I realize it happens but I just don't see much of an advantage.

For instance, if Dallas prepares to play the Browns with Braylon Edwards and then Edwards doesn't make the game, is Dallas really in a big rut?

Just the opposite, if Dallas plans to play against them without Edwards and he does play, is Dallas good to go?

I just can't say that I think any team would gain an advantage by being mum about who will do what duties especially when injuries aren't a part of the equation.

I dunno, I guess I just think that preparing to play against a team's best only to run into a lesser threat can only help you.

After the show he put on last week. I expect to see A. Jones returning punts on a more consistent basis. Clearly he is the most talented punt returner we have had since Meion. With the depth at CB, why wouldn't we put a playmaker back there?

Teams hide as much as they can to make the other team prepare for the unknown. Is it much of an advantage probably not but teams will hold their cards until they have to lay the down.

Why wouldn't Adam Jones return Kickoffs as well? It just seems that if hes talented enough to return punt returns he should be just as good returning kickoffs

i agree it should be adam doing both,he did both in tenn right? then why not.

I think Adam will be the primary punt returner and as for KR I;m not sure why people are so hurt that Felix may, or may not, be on it. Stanback hasn't looked too bad when he's actually had the shot to return some.
