Gratz to them. Surviving near death means a lot and makes you stronger.
Big 12 can attest to that.
I'm sure they'd love the ACC to collapse so they get Call and Standford back in those 2 "open" slots.

Should be seen as the primary G6 conference especially if they steal into Texas and come away with UTSA and Texas State.

Boise State is the only one of those teams worth it.
Not sure if this is a big step but is certainly a step
BUT they must get more quality teams if they want to be considered a top tier conference and this is not going to do it

PAC will forever get in its own way man.
Why in the world would you get cocky now???

Use the war chest, take 6 MWC teams, and be done.
But no..., they took 4, let MWC regroup and re-affirm.

And now want to be cheap in offers to AAC schools asking them to fund their leave and all the additional travel to move West....
Insane.

They were never, ever getting P4 level membership and an AQ birth.
SEC/B1G were not voting for that and ACC/Big 12 weren't either.
The goal should be getting a regional conf that is easily the best G5 and whose winner becomes a de facto qualifier yearly.
8 teams, all West Coast regional and solid G5 level with room for growth.
Dominate west coast basketball. Add Gonzaga and a couple other bball only west coast schools.

Then maximize revenue any and every way you can.
Is this a hard pill for Wazzu/ORST to swallow? Sure?
But I'd rather be the richest G5 with consistently entertaining matchups I can win than be Cal or Stanford playing out on the Atlantic Coast and real shot of ever winning that conference anyway.

better a winning chihuahua then a losing doberman?

I'd rather be a well fed chihauhua then a starving doberman.
You just gotta start with reality and make the best go of the situation.
The Pac 12 folks were lying themselves and the world for 9 months and now it sems the Pac2 has widly overplayed its hand leaving it 1 team short of an 8-team league because they didn't offer 2 more schools initially.
These are unforced errors.

When the Big 12 was in its death throes they immediately added 4 G5 schools to stabilize. Played zero games and just moved.
That has worked insanely well.
Then they went and hired a legit top of sport professional to run the league as Commish.
Again, that has worked out very well.

Pac 2 made a deal with MWC, immediately undercut that deal. lol like the Alliance. Now is suing to back out of the written agreed upon penalty for back-stabbing its current scheduling partner.
In the meantime, it took only 4 schools from the MWC because it thought it could get the pick of the litter amongst the rest of the G5 for next to nothing in Finacial incentive.
Adn the MWC can use the 4 team penalties to sweeten the deal for the remaining teams plus the 1 team they need to add....
Just wildly bad business on Pac 2's part.
