I have spoken:bow: LOL. Now, I know you guys are among some of the most intelligent football posters on the net, so I know you know what I mean. I would look for this to be the gameplan throughout 06.

............................Think how that relates to the type of defense were gonna field this year, taking the opponent out of their gameplan EARLY, what it means to controlling the clock, notably in the 2nd half, the need for fewer gambles in the 2nd half, the ability to play field position in the 2nd half.

i would like to see a gameplan like what we had during our first game againts the eagles at texas stadium....an aerial assault mixxed with a few ground battles...the results from that game seem to make it favorable

I'm a huge proponent of passing to set up the run, and am REALLY hoping we see more of it this year.

We better not play that conservative crap.Take chances and take them often...Play smart but dont play not to lose.

If we're playing not to lose with weapons on offense like T.O , Glenn, JJ and drew Bledsoe then it's probably time to fire someone.

Laughed when I saw the 90s response to the pass early run late comment cause that's exactly what I was going to post. Still am. We won 3 SBs with Aikman passing early & then running Emmit late. In fact that's why so many people don't give Aikman the credit he deserves claiming he doesn't have the stats other QBs do & didn't bring his team from behind very much. Shoot, with him as the QB we invariably got a good lead in the first half and then relying on Emmit and our defense to get rest of job done. You'd think his 3 SBs combined with most wins by any QB ever in a decade would turn on the light for his detractors--but that requires real thinking. Anyway, I like the concept of throwing early/running late cause we got the defense to do it & hope Parcells does it.

I thought about the 90's as well but I'm not sure we have the OL to use the strategy. Our run blocking had problems last year evn before Flo got hurt. I think we will pass more this season and pass to run will be a necessity unless we perform better in the run game. We'll see.

There is nothing I would like to see more than a quick 3 or 7 points up on the board in our favor and then force the other team to score on our defense.

Yeah.

The Cowboys running game probably isn't going to be good enough to go into the "we are going to run, just try to stop us" mode very often.

The running game's effectiveness likely will rely on keeping defenses honest and/or preoccupied with the passing threat.
