This quote from Dak after the game was interesting:

"I'm my biggest critic, honestly, so if there's a ball on the ground, I feel like I need to get better. Simple as that," Prescott said. "As far as doing more, I've got to stay within the game plan, but at the same sense, there's certain times when looking back at it, maybe I should have extended the play, not necessarily ran, but got out of the pocket and try to make something happen more than what was there. That's going to definitely come, and just practicing it makes it pay off on Sundays."

After all the speculation last week about who was to blame for the pass heavy offense, the comment about needing to stay within the game plan makes me think that it is actually Dak to blame and not Kellen Moore. It was incredibly strange that every offensive gameplan with Rush was really good but then when Dak comes back we start going back to pass pass pass.

Dak and the offense played great yesterday and obviously the main reason for that was sticking with the run game. They need to continue this going forward or take away Dak's ability to change plays.

Dak needs to stick with the gameplan that Cooper was using...
It plays to his and the teams strengths

It's fair to speculate, but we were running alot more 12 personnel and run packages under Rush.

This was pointed out at one time, I wish I could provide the thread but it's in here.

I did see Dak audible into runs yesterday as well. It seems "kill kill" more often results in a run.

Logic leads me to believe no coach would allow audibles to the extent of hurting the team. It would come down to a film session and "tell me what you're seeing here" type of conversation. At least I would hope that to be the case.

Amazing to me how a QB in his 7th NFL season and heralded as a supposed Top 5 or 10 QB does not know the basic QB play things he is spewing.

They will not take Dak ability to change the play, when plays come in there is a designed checkout, you take that away and you end up having a bad play you are stuck with. Even Rush checked out of plays based on the formation and coverage.

umm alternate perspective,

We were Limited with Rush, bottom 10 in scoring to top 10..let that sink in Bud, Dak is clearly better then Rush, 36PPG since his return, high compl % bigger plays, better 3rd down% ,more leads early.

I mean its not close, tired of that argument.

28 point, 14 point 4th qtr lead was BLOWN by the defense.. Dak made this offense relevant instead of just getting by. you must have QB that can be better when needed and Dak is far better then rush, understand most of the realists here TOLD YOU ALL haters that if this defense faltered at all we would need Dak to overcome that.. Rish could barely get to 20 in 4 qtrs daks getting that by Halftime. umm ok? so he take few more risks, Hes capable of overcoming few miscues early.

if you think the rams game and eagles game were " this offense with Rush was "staying within a gameplan and succeeding", you were not truly watching without thier hate goggles on..FACTS!

You have superior talent you look back. You don't have superior talent you don't look back. Dak vs Rush. easy answer. People with superior talent in anything always feel they could have been or done better. Guy hit a triple he wanted that home run. Guy score 40 points in basketball feel like he should of had 50. Human nature.

I've said all along that Moore gets too much happy for the "pass happy" stuff.

I have been vindicated from Dak himself. Thanks, Dak!

going back all the way to Aikman

Dallas wins games by running the football.....

Romo got to the playoffs by having a run game and his best passing games came when he threw 25 passes in a game against the bills he was something like 23-25 for 4 TOUCHDOWNS because the Run game sets up play action you make your passes count when you throw them

Dak's best games are when they lean on the running game, forget this nonsense people say that a qb making that much money should be able to sling it 50 times a game and put up 500 yards how many of those games do we win?

you run the ball even when its not working you can run the ball 40 times for 3 yards per carry and still be effective its kinda how the Commanders have won 2 in a row theyve run the ball 80 times the past two games for less than 3 yards per carry

issue is with the OC he forgets this and starts throwing it too much and has to get smacked down to reality by having a embarrassing game once ever 4 weeks which is an issue
