Payton to Romo connection & BP guidance

They showed that Payton went to Eastern Illionois as well. Did someone tell Payton about Romo before he came out because of his connection with the school? I wonder

and...

BP gets major props for bringing Romo along the way he did... slow and steady...(I just wonder how Romo would have fared starting last year) BP will come out smelling like roses if Romo works out at QB for us...

I think Payton has buddies who work at Eastern Ill., or he follows the team religiously, or somewhat, and found out about him either one of those 2 ways
