Was watching the 105.3 reaction Monday interview with Brad Sham and he confirmed the team had Abrams as the pick had Ceedee not slipped.

How lucky we got lol. I am the first to sing Will McClay’s praises, but this also shows that no matter how good you are in the scouting department, there is an element of luck and good fortune involved when drafting players.

Shout out to those 16 teams who passed!

Bullet dodged…Chaisson or Abrams would’ve been absolutely terrible.

Always interesting hearing these stories. You definitely need luck on draft day and sometimes you stumble into great players because of other teams falling in love with the measurables of a lesser player.

Unless it's a position that makes zero sense to draft, it's hard to go wrong with just taking the bpa that slipped into your laps.

Same thing with Parsons. If one of the CBs were available, we would have not drafted Parsons.

Amen! The same can be said for all of the teams who passed on both rookies Tyler Smith and Sam Williams!!

wait. what!? Abrams was drafted in 2019. CD in 2020... or am I missing something?
