Aside from Jerry’s general arrogance, stubbornness, incompetence etc… this coaching “search” highlights once again one of the underlying organizational dysfunctions dogging this team at every turn: procrastination

Contract extensions? Delay to the last possible minute and get fleeced.

Free Agency? Delay until the bargain bin opens and you get a discount on damaged goods.

Fire or keep a coach? Delay the decision until potential candidates are hired so you are left with the scraps.

Literally every decision they make is put off until the last possible minute. No urgency. No plan. No accountability.

I struggled with Jerry when he fired Landry. I hated how he treated Jimmy. But I absolutely, assuredly loathe this man as the GM of the Dallas Cowboys.

I am fine with him as the owner actually. Make deals. Build stadiums. Grow the brand.

But please, for the love of the franchise and out of respect for the game itself, retire as the GM.

Jerry exemplifies preparing to fail by failing to prepare.
Should have had every base covered every possibility thought out but here we are floundering interviewing questionable coaching candidates.
The evaluations being calculated on who he can get to do the job cheapest and tolerate Witten at whatever position Jerry wants to put him at not who will do the best job

Give him a break, he’s busy planning the next Jake Paul fight at AT&T and rehearsing his lines for his TV gigs.

what dysfunction? its all by design. he milked the is it going to be MM? and now hey coaching search and he puts out feelers to the media to generate conversation. its exactly what he wants, because everyone is talking about it. nobody is talking about Jags open head coaching position. Jets just signed Glenn and its ho-hum, but man everyone is talking about Jerry Jones. what is he going to do? who is the coach? names being thrown around.... its perfect marketing machine at work.
