In 1995, two expansion teams- Carolina and Jacksonville- were added to the NFL. In the 28 seasons since they first entered the league, BOTH Carolina and Jacksonville have won more playoffs games than Dallas and both have appeared in conference championship games multiple times. Since 1995, 26 of the 32 NFL teams have been to a conference championship game. The Cowboys aren’t one of them. But the jags and panthers are.

Comparing Jacksonville and Carolina to Dallas in the playoffs:
  • Total playoff wins since the Jags and Panthers entered the league:
    • Dallas: 5 (all wild card wins)
    • Jacksonville: 8 (including 2 divisional round wins)
    • Carolina: 9 (including 4 divisional round games, and 2 NFC championships

  • Carolina and Jacksonville have been to a combined 7 Conference championships with these QBs
    • Carolina
      • Jake Del Homme
      • Cam Newton
    • Jacksonville:
      • Mark Brunell
      • Blake Bortles
The two expansion teams that entered the league the same year since our last divisional playoff win have each won more playoff games than the Cowboys, won more divisional playoff wins and have 7 conference championship games. Carolina has even been to two SBs.

Wow.

It's FACTS.....FACTS...that Jerry is constantly trying to distract fans from discovering. But we live in the information age...so this is not information they can hide/erase. There are actually people that get on in this forum and defend the JonesBoys. Then there are people like you/me that stick to the FACTS!!!!!!!!!

It is depressing but the truth is better than smoke. The FO needs this info on a bulletin board. You can’t get better if you have zero perspective on what you’ve been doing.
When you are on TV every Thanksgiving, when you are on Sunday, Thursday and MNF. When you are the game of the week every week...when you sell the most jerseys, when you make the most money...when you are the most discussed....when your owner is the most visible owner in all of sports....when your son is more visible than any other front office employee in the NFL other than Jerry....all of this gives comes together to give off the aura of success....BUT....BUT....it's success off the field....not on!!!

Now Bob, you know this will only incite the Jerry conditioned support groups here who prefer staying in the news.
Jerry's relevance trumps changing philosophies on head coaching, quarterbacking, contracts, free agency and cap management. All of which need changing.

So take your Wild Card ceiling and like it.

LOL

You just want a QB that does not hurt you. I keep hearing about Dak staying aggressive. Sounds great but it has nothing to do with staying aggressive. It has to go with not making big mistakes in big situations. It should be controlled aggression. If the play breaks down, then run, or throw it away, but don't keep trying to force throws as if there are no consequences. A punt is almost always better than an turnover.

Cowboys, Commanders and Lions walk into a bar..................

And realize they are the only teams in the NFC to not play in a NFCCG game in the last 25 years.

That's some freaking awesome company right there. Two of the worst run franchises over that period. Those are our peers.
