Okay people take this at face value, but I had to share what was a possible Pete Hunter sighting. As I walked into my child's private school here in DC to re-enroll for next year, I saw this guy who looked like he could be a football/possible basketball player. Well built but not that big. Above 6'0 tall.

Well, I wanted to ask him if he played ball but he was talking to others and I tried to respect his privacy. All the while I kept thinking, this is Pete Hunter! But my rational mind kept saying, why would he be in the DC metropolitan area. So I let it go. He left and I paid my bill then went on my way.

Now I wouldn't be writing this thread because of the uncertainty, however, I remembered when I walked into the office that another guy that was with him said to a child "go ask Uncle Pete." Coincidence? I think not. I know that Pete went to Virginia Union which is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from the area.

No proof. No autograph. But the more and more that I look at this picture, I'm sure that it was him.

P.S. The child who was with him had on a Shockey jersey and the guy who I believe to be Pete said, "what's he doing with a Giants jersey on."

I'm not one to measure height by sight but he was in that range.

Well I'd say there is a good chance it was Pete. Congrats on ur sighting.

I still remember the first time I had a "sighting". I called the police and reported seeing an Alien. They asked me to describe it so I just logged online and showed a picture of Sam Cassell. They just laughed and went home. Lol

I probably deserve the doubts. No proof or anything besides my word to substantiate what I'm saying. But I'm not one to lie about anything much less about seeing someone who could possibly be a football player.

Isn't he from that area? I thought I read somewhere that his mother lives in the NE. Also, didn't he go to Virginia Union?

Very well could be - should have asked him if plans on playing FS this year :)

I wish I had done more. But I couldn't get past the thought of why he would be in this area. Didn't think that he went to VA Union until after I got home and then the "Uncle Pete" remembrance made it undeniable in my mind.

I wasnt trying to be mean. Just thought that was funny.

I wouldnt doubt that at alL!

Was the kid is the Giants jersey behind him and open?

Pete lives in Atlantic City last I heard or read but thats a short drive to Virginia to be sure.

Very likely you saw him and will see even more of him when he gets cut and the Commanders sign him(as they do all ex-Cowboys: lol).

I don't know about him being cut in any capacity... but as bad as the Redstinks are about paying for football players, they might offer up a couple of second round picks for him...

:bang2:

huh?

Pete should garner about the same compensation Derek Ross did.
Or less.

Didn't Pete go to school in Virginia (Virginia Union)? And although he was born in Atlantic City, it's very common for players (former or current) to hang in area's and regions that they are familar with.

I think that it certainly could have been Pete however, I think if I had seen Pete in Berlin or Amsterdam there would have been no connection in my mind that he'll be in the NFLE next year.

Add that to the fact that he is under contract with the Dallas Cowboys and that ANY attempt from another team to contact him would be tampering.

Didn't want to get into his business too much. But I believe that he was "subsidizing" his nephew's education. Family members must live close by.
