It's a legit question.......one word, inconsistency. Whether it's the offense or defense we see critical breakdowns game after game.

Who are you, really, Dallas? Last two weeks: Texans/Jags 63, Cowboys 61. With the 13-1 Eagles and desperate Titans on tap the next two weeks, Dallas risks being in a slump entering Wild Card weekend.

Offensive players of the week
Trevor Lawrence, quarterback, Jacksonville. Another great afternoon for the upstart Jags, another great afternoon for the rising star Jag quarterback. Going against the NFL’s number five defense, Lawrence went up and down the field on the Cowboys all day with four TDs, three of them in a nine-minute span in the second half. Every week, there’s another good defense to test himself against—Baltimore, Tennessee, Dallas in the past month—and Lawrence keeps passing the tests.

brown has got to make that catch. exactly where it needs to be. make that catch and with a couple plays we are in field goal range with Maher and game over. he was actually in position to make some yards after catch with that....

The first was entirely his fault. He overthrew the receiver into the arms of the safety.

The second one should’ve been caught, but all things being equal, those type of flukes don’t generally happen to “make your own luck” teams. Those are the type of things that happen to Garrett led teams. Tashard Choice anyone?

Dak has the worst TD/INT in the league I believe since he came back. It’s a Dak problem.

LOL very good question and I'm not even sure that I can answer that nor The Cowboys lol
Our defense has been our strength and now with the injuries that keep coming it is our weakness and Quinn needs to figure it out.
I remember a time we were all gripping about Dak not being able to trust his receivers and let the ball go and give them a chance. Now he is doing it and were gripping about that lol Yes there are times he has really forced the ball and made some stupid decisions.
With all the signings we have done there has to be a CB that can come in and replace KJ. Burn me a new one Wright is not it?
Quinn time to earn that paycheck

Simple answer, a wounded team.

All season long I have seen these references to depth made and I kept looking and I couldn't see it. They were able to overcome losing the LT but the D side was a problem waiting to happen.

This D is dependent on one player causing the OC and QB to be overly concerned about him and that's great as long as he can keep that up. Either Parsons has something wrong that they're keeping quiet about or he has just flat run down over the season but he is not that player they feared.

Brown and Lewis were just OK until they weren't in there and every team in the NFL, every OC and QB, knows how to take advantage of missing CB's, we've been seeing that all season long. Can't hide a mediocre CB in the NFL, too many eyes on him.

Who are they?

They are a make the playoffs and probably lose in the Wild Card game to a team with a losing record type of team.
Tampa bay may not even win the division. They are all terrible.

It’s more of a limp into the playoffs, beat a bad Tampa team, then get blown out by Philly or San Francisco

We are not even discussing this if they just forced Jacksonville to use their last timeout. This is completely on that fraud Mike McCarthy. McCarthy has made a lot of money because of Rogers. Part of his income should go to Rogers.

Its funny how all the football talking head talk about injuries when it comes to other teams but not with the Cowboys. This team is really beat up now missing 4 starters on defense. They injuries are not an excuse. Of course it's an excuse. and a damn good one. The reason backups are backups is because they are not as good as the starters. Lose 4 starters and it is going to show on the field.

Defense built to stop the pass; the DL and DE love to stunt and twist, the DEs consistently crash inside and lose outside contain, no true run-stuffing DTs; all of which collectively allow us to get gashed in the run game. Teams are using the quick passing game and misdirection or RPOs to negate our pash rush. Now we have injuries at DL, LB and CB, so we are now vulnerable in the passing game. So long as teams don’t abandon the run, or get too far behind Dallas in points and are forced to pass it is easy to move the ball on the defense.

On offense our OL is patchwork due to injuries; Dak is not seeing the field well and presses, leading to INTs or poorly thrown/placed balls. We miss Cooper…I don’t even know if Gallup had a reception, so thank you for that Jerry. I had no problem with running the ball other than we didn’t do it enough. Love the two-back system. We are a much more efficient team when we run the ball effectively; then we abruptly shut it down in favor of the pass. Play calling and time management are inconsistent at best. I thought we should have run on the 3rd and 10 forcing the Jags to use their last TO, but if you’re going to pass can we run a play higher completion percentage; a completed pass is just as good as a run…why not CD on a slant?

Lastly we have poor coaching; the Dallas teams are soft and lay down when punched in the mouth. We saw that last year in the playoffs with the Niners and we have seen that several times this year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we win another game this year.

....I bet Brown is keeping it In-House. Knowing he gaffed that ball.

What a turd. At least let media know, "I blew it, its on me".
