2021 NFL Draft: PFF's top prospects on the 2021 Senior Bowl roster
https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2021-nfl-draft-best-prospects-on-the-senior-bowl-roster

Ask any scout or personnel executive and they’ll tell you that watching tape of players against top competition trumps everything else in the evaluation process. The problem is that some players may only face legitimate future NFL talent a couple of times a year, and the players from the “smaller schools” often never get the opportunity. That’s where the Senior Bowl comes in.

Every player at the practices next week will at least be rostered by an NFL team come training camp. And not only have we not seen some of these players against top competition this year, but we also haven’t seen some of them at all.

With a quarter of the PFF Top 100 in attendance, let’s examine the top NFL draft prospects who will be in Mobile next week.

1. WR DEVONTA SMITH, ALABAMA
PFF BIG BOARD RANK: 8TH
While Smith will still physically be there, the finger injury he suffered in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game will keep him from practicing. It's not as if he needs it, though. After the season he had, it would be a massive surprise to hear his name called outside the top 10 in the 2021 NFL Draft.

2. WR KADARIUS TONEY, FLORIDA
PFF Big Board Rank: 24th
After playing primarily from the slot in Florida’s offense, Toney could make himself some money by getting open on the outside in the one-on-ones, as only 13% of his snaps came from an outside alignment this past season. He can do things physically with the ball in his hands that no one else in the class is capable of, but he is fairly unproven as a route-runner.

3. EDGE CARLOS BASHAM JR., WAKE FOREST
PFF Big Board Rank: 28th
Boogie, as he’s affectionately nicknamed, didn’t have the best of senior seasons, as Wake Forest’s defense didn’t give him nearly enough one-on-one opportunities on the edge. The week in Mobile will give him a chance to right that wrong. He’s a jumbo 285-pound end who sets a hard edge and can push the pocket.

Basham-excellent fit for Quinn's 4T LE. He also could have the ability to kick inside in the nickel.

Nasirideen-he is a TE eraser. Due to his size, Chancellor comp's will be made. There is another Safety at Virginia Tech who is more like the former Seattle star-Deablo.

Onwuzurike-perhaps the best 3 Tech in the entire class that nobody talks about.

Marvin Wilson-prior to this season he was considered the best 1 Tech in the entire draft. He wasn't even on Dane's top 100.

I think Wilson could be the steal of the draft if he slips in to the late 2nd or 3rd round. I don’t think he was physically right last year. I’m anxious to see how he performs. 2019 he looked like a top 10 prospect.

It's a pretty exciting year for the senior bowl. Usually you get one guy who's going to be a stud and a bunch of late round or fringe players... this Combine-less offseason is pulling in a bunch of names we wouldn't normally get to see.

I'm interested to see how Leatherwood does in drills, and am going to enjoy the gifs of Devonta Smith smoking dudes in 1 on 1s.

I would have no problem drafting a 3Tech for the third straight year if Onwuzurike is that guy.

Onwuzurike is a very interesting player, even with his weight could play some at the 1 Tech due to his violent hands. I think nobody is talking about him now, but will in another week. He has the chance to be the best 3T in the entire class. Would of have a problem taking a 3T three years in a row? No, as they all can play in the nickel. However, still would need a 1T drafted.

Out of those 15, personally for the Cowboys, I'm only really interested in Hamsah Nasirildeen, and even that is probably 3rd round or later.

I would love Najee Harris but the Cowboys don't need another asset spent on a RB.

Watched him a lot. Not that interested.

Has some Trysten Hill and Neville Gallimore in him where you see an explosive first step and then also see him hustling down the line chasing guys. You have to watch the in-between stuff where he's playing undisciplined and ignoring his gap responsibility. Loses a lot of reps.

My other issue with him? He flashed as a freshman. Thought he could really develop into something special. He didn't really improve in 3 years IMO. He might not even have been the top 2 defensive linemen on the Huskies this year,

You guys are right though and Jeremiah, Brugler, and Zierlien are all high on ji,.

I'm not sure if the team will take another 3T after spending two high picks in back to back years at the position. How would you rank the 3T's in this class:

Barmore-more of a 3T to me, kind of like a nickel rusher at this stage. worry about his run defense if he played the 1
Nixon-more of a 1 yr wonder, came out of nowhere, where many sites didn't even have been ranked prior to the season.
Tufele-I was very high on him earlier in the process, but many think he is more of a day 3 player that needs a lot of development
Onzu-as we just discussed. Explosive first step quickness, a player Marinelli would salivate over.

Outside of these 4, I don't see another high-end 3T in this entire class.

The 3rd and 4th round types are exactly who I'd be studying.
Dallas has 4 picks in those rounds and should be able to really elevate the team if they select guys who can help day 1 who can grow into more .

Dallas doesn't have the depth it did a couple years ago where guys could come along slowly.
They need year 1 production.

We need day 1 production from DT, LB, CB, FS.

We should be able to manage that via the draft or free agency.
