PFF 7 rounds Cowboy mock

I'd rather a safety or WR in the 3rd round. We simply don't need a cornerback with Diggs, Brown, Lewis, Joseph, Wright, and Robinson.

Lost me in the 3rd round, yet Zion Johnson is a LG I'd plug n play.

I could live with that. I doubt Lindstrom is there that late.

Would be very happy to nab Coby Bryant late in the 3rd round.

That said, I’m not sure how he fits on the roster with the team’s investment in N. Wright (3rd rounder) last year. I wouldn’t mind parting ways with Lewis but the “out” in his contract comes in 2023.

Diggs
Joseph
Brown
Lewis
Wright
(I feel like I’m missing someone here….maybe we could fit in Bryant)

If money is no factor I cut Lewis over Brown all day, every day.
I wouldn't cut Brown at all. With his salary he should be tradeable. He is an at least passable #2. Outside the two horrific games against Oakland and TB, he had a pretty solid year. 5M for an adequate #2 is nothing. 5M for a good #3 is still pretty good.

Diggs, Joseph and Brown could be pretty compelling of Joseph plays the way he did VS Washington

Technically Brown's a $6.5 million cap hit. If we cut him, we eat $1.5 million in dead money and save $5 million in cap space.

Brown isn't good enough IMO to not be a cap cut (or trade) consideration. Which would you rather do? Cut Brown and some other mid-level player and save maybe 8-9 million or restructure Elliott and kick like $10 million down the road?

If we are getting rid of one of the vet CB's, Id much rather it be Lewis. Even with a smaller cap saving, he is just a middling sub package CB. If one of them is to be a top 3 CB here next year, Id much rather it be Brown

I’m saying I would cut Lewis instead of Brown.

I am not as bullish on Brown as some of you. Lewis stays in his slot role. WIth the $5 million saved maybe I can bring back both Hooker and Kearse. Joseph starts at the outside CB spot in Brown's spot.
