Marist Liafau had the lowest PFF score, yet he scored the most tackles? Something doesn't sound right.
Tackles aren’t a great barometer for how well someone is playing.

If Liafau is defending a TE coming out of his break and gives up 2 yards of separation, TE catches it and goes upfield 13 yards before Marist brings him down, you look at the stat sheet and see, “Wow he got a tackle on that play! Great job!”…. When that really isn’t the case at all.

He had his share of mistakes as well. To Liufau's credit, he was around the ball often to make plays, but he missed some too. Hopefully, he'll be able to clean that up with some experience.

I don't think he was very good from the film. He had a couple of excellent plays including an absolute textbook job behind the LOS on a little outside zone run, but overall he looked like a 3rd round rookie who had a 4th round grade. Good natural LB instincts north/south, high effort player, but very inconsistent guy who seems to get out of position often and doesnt recover well when he does.

I know Overshown had low grades in some of his splashier games due to a high amount of missed tackles

This makes no sense. I thought Brock Hoffman performed much better than this. ^^^^

I wouldn't mind us keeping Lawson as a pass rushing end next season.

I know he allowed a pressure up the middle that resulted in a batting pass, and he had the holding call on a run. Don't know how much those affected his grade.
