I really would like to know how PFF grades - Burkhardt and Brady kept commenting on how the BULK of the runs were to the outside. Definitely not taking up for the DT's, but I also thought the vast amount of run yardage was outside the tackles - they almost looked like they were targeting the CB's and knew they wouldn't tackle.

They grade every player on every play from +2 to -2. They have multiple layers of graders including former NFL coaches and scouts. Big plays aren't weighted much nor are bad plays. What it's really giving you is a players consistency over the course of a game. It is not perfect but works better for some positions than others.

The defensive line grades are brutal. But when you lose 44-19 and the other team scores TD the 1st 6 times they touch the football I guess bad PFF grades should be expected.

The lesson here is you cannot hire guys at Burger King a week before the season and expect a positive result.

We need to do something about our safeties too. Is it time for Juanyeh Thomas to get more playing time? How about Marquise Bell?

Most of the yards were to the outside, but PFF really doesnt look at the outcome of a play, and it has more to do with did you do your job on a specific play. If a QB throws a perfect pass that is dropped by the WR it still counts as a positive play for the QB. If a DT gets blown off the ball, but the DE is still able to make a great play in the backfield that DT still gets a negative grade for that play. The big issue with PFF is they dont always know the proper assignments so its not perfect, however they have a system that only penalizes up to -2 and only rewards up to 2 so errors in grading SHOULD be minimized unless team is running a system way revolutionary.

Right because how dare someone hold Dak accountable, doesn‘t fit your narrative at all.
They prove their stupidity every week it seems. It's not even comical anymore. I would embarrass them in a 1-on-1 open discussion if they dared to do so.
