Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons thinks the Giants are making a mistake if they don’t do what it takes to sign running back Saquon Barkley to a new contract.

Parsons took issue with a tweet pointing out that Barkley’s production declined over the latter part of last season, saying that Barkley declined because the Giants rode him so hard. Parsons then said that the Cowboys’ game plan on defense starts with stopping Barkley.

“I mean yeah that’s what happens when you the best players on your team you idiot!! The scheme on Monday morning is we well not let SAQUON BARKLEY BEAT Us!! People just think we be out here playing free for all!! like ****! That ** is that offense! Pay him!” Parsons wrote.

Barkley has rarely NOT been injured and i don’t remember him “beating” any teams by himself. Not to say he’s not Uber talented but between his lack of availability and NY just not being good….he doesn’t terrify me at all.
But MPs words are def a swipe at Jones and saying what everyone outside of NYG is thinking. LOLing at them signing him to a big deal.

Exactly because Jones sucks.

I would NEVER pay Barkley.

Yep,
While Barkley is a threat my question will be if a sophomore Neal and a couple other of their not so great o-linemen can step up in both run blocking and pass protection.
Waller was a decent add as a pass catcher but durability is a valid concern.
They need a WR1 very badly.

Daboll and Schoen will most likely figure it out though as I think they're a capable HC/GM duo.

I mean outside of a few good games last season, Jones has been pretty average

I am not saying that Jones is all that and a bag of chips, but he did play MUCH better this season than prior years. I still think that Jones is a fairly average to maybe slightly above average QB and he may be a little bit better than Dak.

Memo to Micah...Dallas figured that out long before you joined the Cowboys.

Because he can alter a game. DJ had no time in the pocket against us. He was running for his life. Either did Joe Burrow if you remember that game. There were games where our D took over. Most of them while Rush was at QB.
