Who’s the best receiver in the game today? Is there one guy you think?

JR: Well, you got to go with Marvin Harrison. Maybe Steve Smith, too. Marvin, what he’s doing, Randy Moss, the expectations of him — he could be one of the best ever to play the game with his talent, but I am not sure if he’s worked at it hard enough. And Terrell Owens, I think he has to just get back to playing football. And Chad Johnson, Smith we said, so many other guys. But Marvin plays the game, he plays it hard. He’s not a big guy, but he goes out there and works his butt off.

Do today’s wideouts put enough work in to be successful at the NFL level? Or do they rely too much on big talent?

JR: I think Marvin Harrison does. I think some of those other guys do. I think with Terrell Owens, he’s going to work his butt off. But it’s just if Terrell is not going to get distracted. Like last year, he led the league in drops. You know, you can’t do that and consider yourself as being the best receiver to play the game. So he’s going to have to come back and redeem himself this year. But right now, (receivers are perceived as) prima donnas — somehow we have that title. And it’s going to be up to these guys to go out there and prove to everyone that we are not prima donnas and that we go out there and play the game the right way.

"Somehow?"

Yes be happy about when you win instead of crying about not getting the ball. I think some including TO are more interested in their personal stats than anything else.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i've never heard/seen TO complain about not getting the ball after his team won the game. If they lose............ that's a different story.

When TO is not getting the ball he pouts and goes off on coaches on the sidelines. The guy is a prim Donna as is some other WR in the NFL. I admit he is not as bad as Moss.

I agree with ethiostar. He generally throws a fit when he's not getting the ball and the team is losing or the game is highly in doubt. I don't recall him ever having a blowout when the offense is working well.

He has made comments that if he is not used early in games of how he can't get into it late. To me that is lack of concentration on his part and that he can't keep himself into the game mentally. I'm sorry but unless he is getting the ball the guy whines and yes I think he is more concerned about personal numbers than anything else.

Honestly T.O. HAS A LOT TO PROVE THIS YEAR?

IS HE THE SAME DOMINATING WR AS YEARS PAST OR HAS THE YEARS PAST?

Prima donna?

I remember Rice pouting like crazy on the sidelines after TO made a huge catch to win a playoff game. Rice wasn't the primary WR on the play -- and apparently he may have taken himself out of the game in protest.

Oh, yeah, "let's unretire Steve Largent's number so I can wear it"

Wherever do people get these perceptions that WRs are prima donnas?

T.O. is a top five WR, as long as Dallas has him they will have a dynamic offense...

Crossing my fingers that he stays healthy too...
