What threesome do you guys prefer? I think Phillips would make one of the assistants at S.Diego our D.coordinator. Maybe Manusky(sp?) Anyway, I really prefer the Phillips/Garrett combo thing, with Jason being groomed as head coach. All the naysayers that rip Garrett for not doing enough with Culpepper or Joey Harrington are clueless. Saban signed those two numbskulls. That isn't on Garrett. Spags is reporting today that Garrett was also being considered for the HEAD COACHING position:cool: . I don't know about that, simply because I would be concerned about what kind of staff they could put together under him. If Phillips doesn't work out, I could get behind Dan Reeves. He is flat out a good coach and great mentor for a guy like Garrett. The key there would be finding a solid D-coordinator. Bowles maybe?;)

That is a good question. But let's talk about football instead. Of this group, I think Garrett and Bowles are good coaching prospects but need more seasoning. I would not mind Reeves at all. He knows the ropes as an NFL HC and he could groom the younger guys. But I think Reeves would be only a stopgap and he doesn't bring anything really top-notch to the table. At least Wade Phillips is an expert at the 3-4 defense. I think all of the candidates you mentioned have their good points but none really stand out.

My preference is Garrett at OC with one of:
1) Belichick as HC...
2) Jeff Fisher as HC
3) Bill Cowher as HC
4 Ron Rivera as HC
5 Phillips as HC

and Rex Ryan as DC

HC: Norv Turner
DC: Wade Phillips
OC: Jason Garrett <--Skeptical about this one. I say give him a shot...

Are we talking about Dan Reeves of the Broncos and Falcants? He's another Tuna in which the game has passed him by, no thanks...

Bring in sum young fresh blood...

#1
